  1. Heh, thanks. What was your GT? I play a lot of people... lol

  2. My God, why is it not down-forward? It only makes sense. I have 2 low parries and 800 high parries right now from one week's worth of playing. That explains it...

Who is this S. Bobu guy, and why do I hate him during the entire match, except for his clutch endings?
  4. Yes, and that's one of the ONLY occurrences of that. The other is Shuma's eyeballs exploding at just the right moment. If you use Zero, theoretically, you could combo to the corner, activate his clone super mid-combo, down exchange into MODOK, do the easy 9-cube combo into hyper battering ram for the kill. This would probably build three meters and not use any (since the down exchange builds the meter lost from the clone super).

  5. To counter up exchanges, they must hold up and tap S. To counter down exchanges, they must hold down and tap S. To counter left OR right exchanges, they must hold either left or right and tap S. Yeah, holding right will counter left exchanges and vice versa.

  6. No, I don't think balloon bombs go that high as an assist. Not sure about on-point bombs though. I wouldn't worry about guaranteed TACs, since you'll only do them in the corner and it's still a 50/50.

  7. Oops... meant to respond to this. Yes, that combo is good. You might be able to sneak in an 8th cube somewhere, but it's no big deal. Looks great.

  8. That, and you can zipline and try it. Other than those two, that's all I can think of...

  9. His assists largely depend on the team. Psionic Blaster and Balloon Bomb can both be used for mixups or combo extending. The barrier is interesting, but I don't see it helping Spencer much. It's good for Hulk and Skrull to get free command grab attempts, but Spencer doesn't rely on his as much.

  10. He's definitely the weirdest character in the game. It's like the devs didn't know whether he would be a zoning or a rushdown character, so they gave him numerous tools for each. I like that team though. Spencer is a really solid character, and mixing him with Sent drones in scary.

  11. Thor/MODOK/Sent - Wolverine and Magneto will tear this team apart. These also happen to be MODOK's worst matchups IMO. Spiderman/MODOK/Sent - This is just an odd team. Spiderman without Doom hurts a lot. Jill/MODOK/Sent - This might work, but why Jill? There are many characters that can do what Jill does AND more... Spiderman/MODOK/Doom - This team should work the best from your list. There's actually a ton of fun combos involving hidden missiles assist and MODOK. Look up borawserbox on youtube for those combos.

  12. Wherever a MODOK combo has 6H in it and makes the opponent wallbounce, you can call drones simultaneously. Then, while drones are juggling the opponent, you can use cubes or a jamming bomb. (In corner) cr.H, L-cube, cr.H, L-cube, cr.H, L-cube, 6H + assist, M-cube, jamming bomb.

  13. That combo doesn't work on Tron, Hulk, or Sent btw.

  14. Sure. First, MODOK can kill any character in the corner when he is UP or DOWN TAC'ed into. As a result, characters that can carry opponents to the corner fit MODOK well. Magneto comes to mind here. MODOK can also take part in the DHC glitch, so Mags is definitely a good choice. The anchor is usually an assist that gives hard knockdown or multiple hits, which is great for MODOK's corner combos. Wesker's lunging kick, Haggar's lariat, and Sent drones are fitting examples. This allows multiple cubes or jamming bombs to hit in the combos. As for BnB's, he doesn't have a definitive set because assists play such a large role in them. But, I can start you off with a 100% 9-cube TAC in the corner. Down exchange air H L-cube air H L-cube air M Fly~M-cube air M air H L-cube (second air L-cube optional here, but it's tough) air M L-cube air M L-cube air M L-cube air M L-cube air S OTG cr.M L-blaster Super of your choice

  15. Hmmm... perhaps. At this point, Nemesis just looks like a Hulk clone with a rocket launcher. I was explaining to some other people that due to those two having very similar gameplay/strategies, then whichever one is "lower tier" or "worse" will never be used.

Also, blocking a burst gives 25% heat now. But what Tager user blocks bursts? lol

Possible Tager changes from recent loc test... The 6A change sounds good, especially if the armor comes out faster. Spark bolt change. Meh. Voltic Charge increased rate sounds good. The other part sounds gimmicky. Seeing it in action will clear a lot up. B Sledge chargeable? Confused on this one. EDIT Damn you Axis for beating me to it.

So, here's a little snip of me doing Tager things in a huge, three-day tournament that was in TN last month. Forewarning, I was in Marvel mode since I had played it all day the day before (while placing 4th out of 80-something people), and I was sleep deprived. I don't usually play this bad, not breaking purple grabs, botching inputs, missing opportunities, etc. Axis can back me up on that. lol I linked the hypest part. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7K6ZsXDn6KE&feature=player_profilepage#t=321s

Hey, I like Jan. From what I recall, his play is always solid, and he never goes for risky things. Did anyone see Coopa playing yesterday? He got some clutch 720's on stream.
  22. Thanks for the update on this. So in all, you put around 17 hours into it, which is definitely not bad for $15. I'm an achievement whore when it comes to XBL arcade games, so that might add even more hours to it. Still considering buying out... The problem now is that I just started Record of Agarest War Zero. That will be eating up all my time now. lol

As a 100% pad player in all fighting games, I can vouch for Tager use on pad. It's not bad at all. They're efficient enough to IB 720, 2B whiff 720, etc. Really fancy stuff like Voltic Charge cancelling and standing 720s is much harder on pad though. In my experience, fightpads are awful. Like Osuna said, their buttons are spaced out in a strange way. On top of that, the huge pads are awkward. I prefer the original 360/PS3 pad over any fightpad.

Same here, except with Portal 2 and MvC3. If you can get on some time tonight, I'll be on. You too Axis!
  25. Hmmmm... I'm still interested in it. Tell me if new game+ is worth it too next time you play. If it is, I'll definitely spend 1200 points on it.
