Guys, I'm having a lot of trouble against rushdown all of a sudden. Characters like Bang and Plat who run up 5A,5B stagger, 5A,5B just wreck me. Is 5A the only safe solution here?

I'll tell you why 6A sucks. Even when you bait things with it, the opponent can go flying behind Tager if they're magnetized and punish him. This has happened with Ragna's dp, some of Plat's moves, Bang's j.D, and a few others that I can't remember. The problem I'm seeing is that people can now run from Tager even while magnetized. 5D/4D/2D doesn't prevent this. Collider doesn't help when they're just dashing or walking backwards. 6A will just make you eat a low or a dp. I would've liked if IB'ing gave Tager the same frame advantages as CS1, while everyone else got CS2 IB status. If not that, at least make it so that IB'ing builds spark bolt meter too. At this point, IB'ing only builds meter, but what good is that meter if you can't even 720 punish as effectively any more?

Gah! I tried to tell you this last week. It can be helpful sometimes though. It stops purple grabs from happening off of 5A, but it also stops our control of catching dp mashers.

That rounding down 1 primer really helps. Guard break -> 360/720 Gadget finger off of every 360A Stronger pull on 360s. Pre-flash pull on 720 Everything is air unblockable It's a combination of joy, hatred, and sadness for me right now.

Axis, is it really that bad? I haven't gotten to try CS2 yet.

Axis yelled at me, so I have to post something. The guide needs to have character specific combos. Things like ...B-sledge 2B Collider works on Litchi. Just stuff like that that will improve someone's game a little bit. Things that can beat spark bolt should be included too. Me and Axis broke this down a few pages back. Along with this, ways to bait/punish these spark bolt punishes. If I think of more, I'll post'em up.

Mato did a sexy standing 720 against Makoto in one of those vids... too bad it missed. I expected more out of Yuumura. It seemed like he hasn't spent too much time messing with cs2 Tager.

How does it force air tech? Can't they simply choose to hold 2 and tech right above the ground? (I forget what that tech is called)

Great against Litchi and Makoto!!! Does it help the matchup though? Not that much. But, it makes for a very small change that could sometimes be a round changer.

Were you at a MvC3 tourney? People on srk are saying they saw a Linear04 on a stream, and they loved your team...

Off the top of my head, things that beat Spark Bolt. Makoto - 3C Litchi - That crazy backdash thing/Stance (although you still get mag off stance) Arakune - Backdash (if timed right) Jin - B dp Tao - Crawl Carl - Nirvana blocking Bang - Can D-counter and punish Haku - Can cut the bolt Haz - Can punish with distortion/fly away with chains Tsubaki/Noel - Can slide under it Wow... more than I thought. lol

This. This. A THOUSAND TIMES THIS! Making it connect isn't hard. Some characters have specific answers to it, but most don't. In CT, I was perfectly fine with saving it because it charged at a very slow rate. Now it charges so fast, you might as well take the risk and just fire away. If they run, that's fine. You get better position (out of the corner).

Dear Akira (and other players who don't do this), It's okay to use spark bolt on block, especially if it will help you mount an offense. It only takes 22 seconds for it to replenish, so you might as well use two or three per match, instead of saving one the entire match.

Stop using 6C in strings. You'll get punished hard. Never use Spark on a waiting Makoto. They expect it and punish with 3C. I think you learned this though and punished a few 3C's. When you have 50 heat, make Makoto respect your wakeup 720. Nini was mashing on that 2A several times, and you could have punished hard. Try some tick throws. After a GF, 5A 360A/B. Watch out for dp's of course. You had some nice 720's in there though.

Yeah, I just watched a few vids of him. People let him get away with goofy stuff. He had a few clutch 720's too.

LOL. Tager is so gimmicky, people don't know his options from his gimmicks. Seriously though, fuck this matchup.

That Tao match made me sad. Akira's amazing skills couldn't save him from that awful matchup...

I don't have a problem with sledge followup buff. From what I've seen, it looks solid for Mu/Lambda matchup. Don't spam it... but surprise the opponent once or twice in match.

Hahaha! I was just messing with you. My brain is weird in that, while playing, I'll think a 360B (with mag) will grab from a certain range just because I've seen it in videos. Then when it misses, I realize we're in ye olde CS1 times.

Is anyone else kind of excited for stronger pull on 360's? Every time I play, I spot a moment where "that 360 wouldn't have missed in CS2."
