    SJ, Soniti, kro_ ... lol. Do we have any of the higher Rachel players left on DL that intend to keep trying to main her? Methinks this forum section is gonna get pretty quiet once CS is out and about on consoles. No more combo list, no more detailed guides? ;_;

    e_e;;; Oh well. I guess it seems right to follow suit and go the Tsubaki route... but I'm also thinking about picking up the kitty for CS. Though I simply can't abandon Rachel on principle. =B There are quite a few live players, at least, that are gonna enjoy turning it all back around on me come CS. Haha.

    On a different note, I had another Rachel player trying to argue that ArkSys "can't do this to Rachel based on her power level in the story" ... -_-; I was like, you're pretty much preaching to the choir (in a sense), bro, but, uh... that argument doesn't matter two cents, and it is, ya know, kinda already done, so....

    Edit: I still intend on having her main, first, as soon as I get CS, despite the 'what are you gonna do now questions' I get from those I play with. ~_~ To hell with it. I didn't pick her cuz she was top tier in the first place. I am trying to figure out who to sub, though, with not a lot of luck yet.

  3. I wonder if the Sword Iris activation when trying for a Lobelia is part of the reason the motion went from 22a to 214...

    I dunno. For some reason this just dawned on me. ._. Has there been a mass of complaining about it? I find myself accidentally doing Sword Iris while trying to toss Lobelia's outside of combos after back dashes myself. ~_~;

  4. LoL. kro_ makes me confident that we'll be able to adjust. The pumpkin tricks w/ 236a mentioned are something I employ from time to time in CT, and the rest makes sense. If she's stuck, I'm sure things will be figured out... even if I can't contribute. lol. Btw, kro_ awesomeness with the Rachel guide. I suppose IAD j.a, j.b could still be useful for overhead fun following a 236a in the right circumstances, though you might eat a DP as well. Worthwhile on Tager, at least, despite proration, since there's still some rushdown possibility, sans cross up fun. In any case, I'm still glad to be amongst the Rachel players that have predominantly NOT caused trouble for the mods in complaining in the main CS threads. =B

  5. lol. The Arakune yelping is almost ear-piercing, even though it's almost all text. One of the guys that helped get the CS: General Discussion thread locked is one in my usual play group... but I didn't feel the need to try to interject anything, due to it being a near-general Arakune over-emotion flux. Stupid blod needs to be less amorphous with his player's feelings. :vbang:

    On the flip-side, I had to resist saying anything about how nice it is that the majority of us Rachel players are taking everything with a grain of salt and keeping it calm. We're still loke-testing, after all.

    I agree on the j2c thing, even if it's been explained how awesome it is in CT by Soniti and kro_ and such... I use it a lot. Especially against a Tager... lol. I shall miss it greatly if it remains useless.

    Edit: In the event that Rachel is reduced to keep away/zoning near exclusively, though, does anyone have any speculation on how we will go about adjusting our playstyle, based on what we know right now, to make her effective?

    I ask this just because I know I won't be giving her up completely, even if I change mains - - - which I don't suspect I will. *is the only Rachel player in his normal player group*

    I like that her frog is somewhat back. I hope the lag time is low enough to where you can put pressure on with it outside of combos. Maybe this just hurts the pressure a little.

    What they need to do is fix the j. 2c, I agree with no canceling on block with no wind. BUT, it should cancel on block with wind, that way it would nerf her mixup without killing it. No more j. 2c3d > 5b > j. 2c > 5b ..repeat

    This would all be much more balanced, especially with her new wind regen rules.

    She needs a good mix-up game, her zoning is not good enough to carry her and her normals have bad priority without pumpkin.

    She would still be top tier, but not as ridiculous. Like I heard on here before (i think), there are always going to be tiers..we can't take that out, so I would rather the top tier be the some of the toughest to use...

    I was curious what other Rachels might think about what Outtawack said. ~_~; I find myself ultimately being able to agree with just about everything stated between the arguments, so, ha, I don't really have any comments, as my commentary would change with every post. lol.

  7. *cheers for George combos returning!* But wow. Wind doesn't recharge while on the ground? Guess we'll be spending a lot of time in the air, which makes the j2c nerf hurt just a little bit more, I think. Hm. The Tempest Dahlia not using wind, but possibly based on the number of stocks is rather interesting, though.

  8. One thing to do is watch the strings they do and 2C electric chair them for their spam. If the do the overhead jump kick thing she does (sorry, I don't know Noel's moves by command) you can 6A counter and air combo. I've noticed they like to run into D pumpkins and 234A lobelia's as well. Depending on what they are doing you can also D3C them.
