    [CS1-CSE] Litchi General Discussion

Yeah I got it. My problem was that I basically had no idea what the combo was supposed to look like; it's not too complicated.

    [CS1-CSE] Litchi General Discussion

I assumed it was Riichi A but I can't seem to get it. Am I supposed to cross up with 6C(1) 2C? Otherwise I don't see how it's possible.

    [CS1-CSE] Litchi General Discussion

Both list Ippatsu B without listing how to get there. Without having seen the j.2D combo I don't really have any idea how to do it; I'm assuming there's a crossup on the 2C/5B because otherwise you're hitting them the wrong way for a Riichi A, and because that appears to be what happens in the second combo. In the 5B 2C 6D corner combo he also has Riichi A listed twice consecutively but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that that's just a typo. And yes it makes sense that he would lock the thread until the information is more complete to prevent large swarms of questions I guess.

    [CS1-CSE] Litchi General Discussion

I don't understand why the current combo thread has combos listed where you input Ippatsu B without being on the staff (Riichi B?). I also don't understand why it's locked because this doesn't seem like an appropriate place to ask.

That sounds like a lot of work for 48 hours. I play GG but I'm disgustingly bad. Where's Next Level?

    New York City Thread #1582048

Hello New York, I'm going to be in your city for the next 48 hours. Seeing as I basically know absolutely no one in this city I was wondering if there's any shit going on in the next two days that I could check out.

Who are some notable CS2 Litchi players other than Fio? Because that's such a huge chunk of what I'm seeing; I want to watch someone else.

LK's GAMEPLAY RELATED QUESTIONS ONLY question thread

Having seen Vice-Taicho play a lot I can tell you that tournament nerves/general apathy have at least something to do with that performance. CH j.C[m] 3C[m]? Daisharin instead of tsubame gaeshi (or an AA) in the first round? Daisharin in general? He usually looks far more solid than that. This is the problem. I find that I am entirely unable to strike a balance between not thinking at all and overthinking. I can play against a lot of players (and even players at my skill level) without having to think about what I'm doing because I just know what I'm doing. However, this train of thought is obviously problematic when it comes to things that I can't just counter unconsciously, and when something like that comes up I'm overthinking and I've lost. I suppose part of it comes down to the fact that I simply don't know the efficacy of my other options as thoroughly as I do the ones that I use frequently so I'm not inclined to employ/fall back on them and then I get stuck thinking really hard about under what circumstances they might fail in the absence of consistent and focused practice against the players that beat me (which I can't get; the closest I've got is online which gives me a pool of a few hundred players to adapt to, which is great for establishing general strategy but entirely worthless for establishing character- or situation-specific routes of resolution).

LK's GAMEPLAY RELATED QUESTIONS ONLY question thread

In this thread you frequently segment players (differentiating between "good" and "great", etc.) into different skill categories; how does one move from one category to another? It's one thing to state a list of a criteria that makes a certain level of player that level, but what I'm looking for is how a player can tangibly improve their mode of reasoning when playing the game. It is one thing to memorize plays and situations, and it's another to actually think about when to do them and then actually implementing these tactics is a whole other level of difficulty. Once you learn what's possible, how do you learn when to do it? Or, better yet, once you learn how to think on multiple levels, how do you develop a scrutinizing process to determine what level to go with in the heat of a match? EDIT: I'm a Litchi player in case that wasn't obvious, so don't hesitate to provide Litchi-specific examples.

    [CS2] Litchi Changelog

There is an almost total lack of videos and concrete information for Litchi as far as I can see; is there anywhere that this information is posted (if not here)?
  12. I've begun practicing my combo from outside one corner and into the other (as in, in the corner facing the other corner) and I'm having particular trouble with this on certain characters: The amount of delay I have to apply to 2D and subsequently j.C is so extensive that I'm finding myself dropping the combo obscene amounts on certain characters (the usual troublemakers -- the greek robots and Carl -- as well as Ragna for some reason) at this distance. It gets exponentially easier when I move away from the corner (I can do it more or less with certainty at a screen length), so it's the amount of delay there that's causing me problems. Is there a better/easier way to do this or am I asking for too much? Should I be using another particular variation at this distance? I know a lot of people use the hatsu chuun one; should I be working on that instead?

Transitioning from CT Padding to CS Sticking?

Bind it like this A B C D Some people use this too: B C D A More information: I hold the stick like I would a wine glass although apparently that's not how most people do it. I find Litchi horrid on pad but that's just me.

    [CS2] Litchi Changelog

My execution sucks, so it's going to take me months to get her new combos down, just like it did with CS. However, I'm excited about the prospect of having new ways to play.

The Art of Mixup and Increasing Pressure

Please forgive my ignorance, but I've seen the term come up multiple times so I'm subsequently wondering what is meant by keeping someone honest.

    Necessary to use more characters?

The only problem with playing other characters is using playing as other characters as a substitute for playing against other characters.

[CT] Does using Litchi earn you respek?

The corner distance seems about the same, actually. You just need to take into account the fact that All Green keeps moving off of the boundaries of the stage.

    [CT] What's a Litchi?

I was actually about to ask the same question. Thanks.
