  1. I can see how they'd want to "adjust" Jack-O's ghost house placement. If all the houses were in one spot of the stage it'd be confusing on which ones to pick up and store or throw. I hope that won't be a future problem in the corner if say you wanted to put them all in the corner and one of the houses gets "pushed" off stage or something weird. Also I hope they didn't completely get rid of Ram's "talk" with Lucifero (Venus/Belpha), that was part of the Valentine charm in GG2 Overture as it was part of the original Valentine's idle animation.
  2. Hey, noticed you're new to Guilty Gear.  If you have any questions about the story or don't understand anything about what's going on, I don't mind answering any basic stuff or even sparring with you.

  3. It's already been said a bunch of times. The reason GG went full 3D was because they didn't want it to compete with BlazBlue in that field. Assuming (read: begging/pleading) for a crossover between both games isn't really reasonable right now, especially given BB isn't over yet, and GG is a faaaaar cry from being over since the roster isn't full yet. Just wait. I'm sure they'll think of something.
  4. My thoughts on Jam/Dizzy: Jam: What I've seen so far of Jam is that nobody is taking advantage of her meterless parry. She has a lot of stuff she can do without the Kick cards (her charge moves), and I think she can use the charge move as a stance cancel instead of an RC to add to her pressure. Not only that but her air-to-air looks much the same as it has in many games, so it's not great but it's not bad either. Hyappo Shinshou crossup as a YRC mixup will be as bad as Bedman's 6H once people figure out how to use it. People are still learning how her normals work yet, so once that's done, I think people will make her work. Don't ever tell Amadeous that Jam's design is boring though.... he'll get mad at you! Dizzy: I've always liked her fish inputs from AC, and it's not like everything in AC was completely scrapped if I-No and Sol are anything to go by. Even if she loses the additional stuff from AC, she still has Ice Spike YRC, and her normals were always great in GGX, though they got a little nerfed in #Reload. Also her Gamma Ray was a little different from others as it had that 2 beam startup from Necro, which was closer to an anti-air in some respects, so it's not quite the same as Ramlethal's. And hey, they might use Necro's Anger as a catch trap like her EX version... you never know these things.
  5. On the subject of patch fixes for Revelator, did they fix the "Headless Dragon Install" glitch for Sol when Potemkin IK's him?
  6. The gap between arcade and console versions of Xrd is still significant because they're basically converting everything that was in the Arcade version in to a PS3 and PS4 version AND adding new content to boot. That takes time, and given PS3 was initially hard to develop for... a lot longer than you'd think. Even in Revelator's case, even with a "foundation", they still have to make sure everything that needs fixing GETS fixed while adding whatever they have planned for the Console version. Still going to take time. Oh yeah and they're working on BlazBlue Central Fiction while doing this AT THE SAME TIME. That's a lot on the schedule to juggle, so be sensible. Even if we don't have a solid date, they're shooting for Spring, which is what they said they'd do. If they don't make it, it's not going to kill people to wait. I waited for ACPlusR patch, I can wait for Revelator. If you don't want to get pwned by Japanese players at EVO so badly, learn your mains (unless you plan on maining Revelator exclusive characters, which I doubt will be supported at EVO anyway).
  7. Do note the #Kappa in Poultrygeist's post. Sarcasm intended. Only people who don't give a crap about GG make fun of it or say it's for nerds. Also satire doesn't work on the internet. Also I do theses on GG all day because nobody gets it. I have to explain everything because nobody gets it (or cares to). Get it? Probably not.
  8. @This Man: I was pointing it out to anyone who easily confuses a Usage % List with a Tier List. Because it's important to know that, even if you already knew that. @Sergeant Dull: Chipp is for Naruto fans, I have no idea why people think Bedman has anything to do with Naruto. Also, a beginner is going to play Sol because he's the first guy you learn in Tutorial, not because he's just "cool". People pick who they want to pick. @Nobus3r1: Sure, the release dates were closer together back when GG was bare bones, that should be obvious. GGXrd has a lot of content (maybe not as much as BlazBlue, but still a lot), and the first game "Sign" took a lot of work for them to figure out how to make the game in the first place, so it SHOULD be obvious it took the longest time between games. I mean, if you think about it, GG2 looks nowhere near as pretty as Xrd does, so of course they worked on it more. Now that the groundwork foundation of Xrd is taken care of, the next game shouldn't take as long (Spring 2016 for U.S.), same should also go for any consecutive games IN this series. I mean think about it: GG1 > Playstation GGX Series > PS2, Didn't take long between sequels (GGX was bare bones), probably the longest one coming was ACPlusR because of the roster/content fixes. GG2 > Came after Accent Core, but Accent Core Plus (Story Mode) came later. GGXrd (Series) > PS3 First one took a while to come out, but consecutives shouldn't be a big deal unless you live in Europe. Seriously, just because we don't have a solid date doesn't mean their projected date won't happen. Spring 2016 is pretty generous if you ask me.
  9. At least they're working with Aksys Games to do something about making their content comprehensible and bringing that content overseas. That's almost 10x more than anything they ever used to do back when Sega was in charge of their IP. They're probably scared because it's the first time they've been in charge of their own product after such a long time and want everything to go smoothly. Once they get used to doing this, things will come out faster, I think. Just gotta stay optimistic. Usage =/= Skill. There be some killer Bedmans out yonder. Scrub Sols should be expected. Halloween Colors, based on what I saw (I think Elphelt and Jack-O' players were already using them in the stream). Orange Pumpkin colors I think.
  10. I was watching the Halloween Stream video and I noticed a lot of people are wearing really cool T-shirts. I'd be interested in either the Dizzy or Jack-O' themed shirts.
  11. You mean the "Problem" of the gap between JP and U.S. releases? They say it's a "problem" but they're not exactly doing everything they can to solve it, especially if you're from Europe (not to sound cynical or anything). I suppose it can be argued that because "Sign" and "Revelator" don't have much in the way of major changes that there isn't much 'new' to learn besides new characters, so the time it takes for people to pick Revelator up wouldn't be so bad, but even so there is a gap of time. Not only that but it doesn't account for the new changes made to BlazBlue: Central Fiction (which DOES have changes). The problem of exporting Imports will always primarily be Localization/Language Barriers/Comprehension. It's been that way since the 8-bit Nintendo days. Exporting costs money, and ideally they want something that's worth it in returns which is why some games never make it overseas. Guilty Gear is just one of the lucky titles that did and is profitable enough to make it over here. That isn't the only problem either. Licencing, Copyrights, Patents, etc are a lot more stricter over here too. In fact some games are banned in some countries even if they are fighting or action games. From ARC System Works' perspective, they have to do what they can on their end to make the game profitable enough to pay for itself overseas, which means console content (because let's be honest Arcades are mostly dead and gone in America). At the same time they need MONEY to produce that profitability which means relying heavily on Arcade Sales in Japan. Taking all this in to account it's no small wonder why it takes so long for games to get over here, especially Arcade-based games that rely on Arcade sales. If ARC System Works was anything like Square-Enix it might be another story, but even then it still takes time to localize and make a game International-worthy.
  12. Pachi was holding back. I could see the strain of embarrassment on his face. I've seen it a lot more on A-Cho's Youtube channel. Though maybe that's just me.
  13. Hey it's Blade.  Good games a few days ago. Your Bedman is 10x more scarier than mine.  I came pretty close to beating you, but Loser_Shane (May player) did the deed before I could.  You really should consider EVO.

Now if only I could learn how to move Bedman as fast as you do.  I couldn't even track him.

Hello Blade! GGs , sorry for the late reply but I haven't checked DL in a good while. Let's play again soon and *high five* fellow Bedman player!

  14. Since people almost never leave me alone about the Venom Topic, I'll just quote Frank Miller: "He'd be a lot healthier if he was gay." Still, until he "pops the question" (aka full-blown in-story confession, winquotes and alternate endings don't count) to Zato, I won't be convinced. Venom 'comes' from England, but he's an Orphan, so we have no idea his ethnicity. Say what you want at this point, I no longer care.
  15. Roses aren't Red, Violets aren't Blue, Grass isn't Green, Trees aren't Brown, Dark Skin isn't Black. Learn Color Theory (and Ethnicity while you're at it). Also read Venom's story for crying out loud, stop wishing, hoping, planning, and dreaming. Ambiguity is Ambiguity no matter what you wish it was. What Solhunter said, basically. Sol fought his past self, I-No killed his past self to see what would happen and Sol shrugged it off. Bedman later calls Sol "Unbreakable" because of that aspect of himself. Read the Interviews please. Just because they "say" they don't plan ahead, doesn't mean they don't actually PLAN ahead. They have to plan things out otherwise nothing gets done.
  16. Why would it matter? Let's put it this way: Daisuke likes to explain stuff in detail and give reasons behind anything. They've been doing that since the first GG, no matter how ridiculous it sounded. In fact that's a good mindset to have for a story writer.
  17. Zato getting revived had a purpose (reviving Justice). Order-Sol showing up would have to have a pretty good explanation to say the least (even if it had something to do with Axl Low or I-No). That doesn't mean that explanation won't happen or that Order-Sol will be the last in line to make a comeback in Xrd... it just means they'll have to take careful consideration when putting him in on how to go about doing it. And since we're on the topic of characters we WISH would get in... I'm still mad about characters who didn't get to be on the ballot! Judgement (GG Judgement)* <He died but that's no reason he couldn't be revived> Leopaldon (GG Isuka)* <Still in Antarctica> Gig (GG Dust Strikers)* <Died but she's a Gear so... no big deal> Tyr (GG Xtra) <Wandering the world, former best buds with Kliff Undersn> Mizuha (GG Xtra) <Japanese> Geena (GG Xtra) <??? Can get revived> Leon Mining (Night of Knives) <Mentioned in Xrd> Iron Whirlwind Gottfried <Died in Night of Knives but so what?> "That Man" (Has been in GG since forever) *Starred are all former playable characters! No excuse not to make them a cameo at the least.
  18. I don't think it's as easy to "tailor fit" the story as you say. There's some elements that are so out in left field, I wonder sometimes how Daisuke manages to write the story and hold things together. Maybe if you don't especially care one way or the other the story of certain characters wouldn't matter, but that's typically not how they do things. There's always some angle, even if it's humor or intrigue (like in Zappa's case). In fact, the way the story has been written so far has had it's complainers since the beginning. ---Evokes the "Corrupt Tournament Trope" ---Time Travel Abuse ---Canonical errors / sequence of events mistakes / Timestamp errors in Xrd ---Ignores the 6-year time-skip for May and other 'young characters'. ---Ignores the Deaths of many characters (Kliff, Order-Sol, Eddie, Testament) I'm not listing these examples for the sake of 'complaining', I'm saying they're problematic to any story, and to keep the story compelling, they have to somehow bring this cast of misfits together in a coherent form. Whether or not that "tailoring" is done well will determine whether or not the story is told better than previous games. Even if you ignore some minor characters, minor characters still have to have something to go on in order to drum up interest.
  19. "Keep pressure on that." (His Heat Gauntlets were a Birthday gift though.) You're not thinking outside the box. It's not about who gets in and who doesn't... it's just who goes first and who has to wait. Everyone gets in... just a matter of patience. Who goes first should be decided based on what direction the story is going in because that would make the most sense (logistically that's going to happen anyway, whether you argue about it or not). If you put in a random character who had nothing to do with immediate story (even if they're popular)... I mean, what exactly are they doing there? Order-Sol is probably the oddest fruit of the bunch if we're talking story-relevance (even compared to Robo-Ky or hell, even Leopaldon)... but that doesn't mean he won't get in eventually or that they wouldn't find a way to "explain" why he's in there (he could just be a flashback excuse or something for all we know, like Kliff was in Accent Core Plus).
  20. Too bad that's not how ARC System Works... ...Get it? Having 1 slot for who you like should be satisfactory, and besides, anyone else will show up anyway... being spoiled whiners about it won't change anything in their plans.
  21. You guys misunderstand. Having 1 slot dedicated to player-choice opens up the rest to whatever choices the developers make. If they did that for the rest, people would just choose whom they like just as you say. That's why you limit the amount of "liked" characters in the roster in favor of characters that may not be AS liked in the poll, but still get a fair chance to be playable, at least until the goal of "all playable characters" is met. The priority should still be story-oriented so things are coherent and make sense, though. Okay I'll just clarify: ---1-slot dedicated to whomever the fans want in an election. ---Remainder slots dedicated to what's relevant in the story or whomever is left. That way everybody gets a fair shake.
  22. Dizzy wasn't enough? Well I suppose that is true, but for now at least it should make quite a few thousand voters happy... at least until they decide to do another election (which is possible, given what they said about deciding characters' release 'based on popularity' in an older interview). I think it would be a good idea to delegate popularity to the sidelines in favor of story-prominent characters with a single-character election slot per sequel, and might be the ideal way to go about it (at least until there's no more characters left to add). Call it an educated hunch based on what we've seen so far. ARCSys likes to showcase new characters whenever they get the chance, putting a new spin on the game. And let's not forget all the stuff Pachi was mumbling about earlier... he really "could" implement those ideas of his.
  23. To be honest, I was kinda hoping for more Story Episode videos from people who record the Arcade playthroughs (guys...? GUYS?)... But exclusive stuff like interviews and "how it's done" explanations (hopefully with subtitles) would also be nice too. Edit: it would also be nice if someone were to rip/mirror whatever videos that TV site is talking about... for archive purposes.
  24. http://gear-project.tumblr.com/tagged/Tuner He might show up as a cameo in Revelator. He seems to be keeping in contact with Johnny according to GGXrd's Library info on him. As funny as this sounds, it tends to make for a good foreshadowing of how ARC wants to plan things. And unlike what people were saying above about Dizzy being a possible "lock-in" or whatever (which is never guaranteed as said), at MOST it just indicates the character will eventually show up at some point. Dr. Paradigm has been in the story for HOW long? and he hasn't been playable yet. Same goes for "That Man". Even Justice has been bobbled around but hasn't been playable either. Still, like I said earlier, Dizzy is just the "chosen" character... there's still console characters to think about. You've got a Story Mode character who probably unlocks after Story Mode clears (or is unlocked after spending a small fortune in World Dollars in-game currency, like Sin was). And you've got your typical DLC characters... one of which will probably be a Pre-Order Bonus I'm betting. Sure, it's a cash cow, but it's a well-thought-out bovine if you ask me. And besides, we might even get yet another election after this one, and with Dizzy no longer on the ballot, that will be other characters' chance to shine. If I had to say who I'm most looking forward to (besides Justice and "That Man"), it's probably Raven or maybe even Fanny just for kicks.
  25. Found this on tumblr: @rayplay: Are those Unblockables Burst-safe/Reversal-safe?
