[Xrd] Ramlethal - Gameplay Discussion (Discuss Videos/Combos/Questions/etc.)
Gasaraki replied to Kurushii's topic in Ramlethal Valentine
Well, as I said, the Japanese used doesn't mean that swords are completely stopped, so even if they could keep mashing to keep it from fully swinging, it would still come out eventually. And besides, that also means they're whiffing attacks, so that becomes major counter-hit bait. -

Just throwing this out there but 停止する implies a temporary stoppage. So it's not "slowing down" or "stopping" but like, probably "pausing" is the right word in this case. So most likely, hitting swords doesn't stop them but simply pauses them for some frames. -
Benten Super: Hitbox got bigger so the whole thing connects easier If you RC before the last section, the chain toss, it still comes out. Shark Super: Returning slash is 2f faster and does 42 damage now instead of 27 f.S Cancel window increased j.D Longer untech time Wallstick Cancel window increased Everything else you got right Also, just to extra confirm, Rensen DOES knockdown now

[Xrd] Elphelt - Q&A/FAQ Thread "Pop That Champagne !"
Gasaraki replied to Magaki's topic in Elphelt Valentine
I can't really answer the other stuff but the grenade is not unblockable, the rifle shot is. The way it works is normally the shot is only air unblockable, but if you let the cursor sit and don't touch it, it will "charge" and become larger. Once it becomes full size it "pings" and becomes an unblockable shot. Even though it only takes time to charge for the unblockable shot, the timer for the charge actually resets when the opponent goes through a wakeup animation so the grenade is necessary to keep them in block stun. -
Yeah, I figured it must have been something like that cause I never got it to work

I've been trying it but I can't get it to land meaty at all. Mind you I probably just suck, but it doesn't SEEM possible.

[Xrd] Elphelt Gameplay Discussion "The True Best Girl"

Well, even if you BS the shot instead, you still have to block the grenade explosion so she would still be at the advantage, but yeah at least you wouldn't get hit that way. -

The grenade hitbox hit the BS first, then she fired right after -
Well, mostly I was thinking it's implied because the other swings are also air blockable. Though, yeah it certainly doesn't necessarily mean it's the case lol I went ahead and tested it though and it IS air blockable.

Just to add to this: The higher in elevation the swing, the higher the damage. Same for chip damage Same for FD tension damage It's obvious in the video but, low swing can be blocked standing(which probably means it can be blocked in the air as well) You do not need to IB to punish low swing with Sol's 2P in the video's example Against mid weight or higher characters you can drop the combo on a high swing and use mid swing to force them to block and then end with low swing. On light characters like Millia you can use high swing then low swing to maximize chip instead If they have less HP left than the amount of chip damage you will do with any swing, they will not die, but be left at 1HP. However, if they block any swing one more time, then they WILL die. Meaty low swing cannot be IB Sol 2P countered, but as you see in the vid, you can reversal DP or other invincible move.

Actually, I found out this is not the case. That's a normal reload, a perfect reload has no twirling animation AT ALL so yeah it's definitely much faster Also are we SURE that you have to wait a bit before doing 46+S to get a perfect reload? I feel like as long as I timed the 6 and S together perfectly I've gotten one even immediately after firing. In any case it's definitely not easy to get consistently -

Does anyone have any video of a perfect rifle reload? I don't even know what it looks like and I can't figure out the timing.
