Not really notable (and probably known / common sense), but if you have 100 meter to burn but no Spark or mag, you can pass up a standard ender (or just after first AC) and do...
...AC > BSledge > (Optional Hammer) > RC > MTW
Doing Hammer before RCing makes it laughably easy, but it's not overly hard RCing on just Sledge and "burst safe" to boot. One of those things you'd only do if it will kill though. Just, y'know, options. Hammer will make the resultant combo do a bit less (single digits) if heat isn't a concern. (For a baseline, 2B > 2C > AC > BSledge > Hammer > RC > MTW can be done at 80 heat, 83 without Hammer)
Grats Osuna!
Edit at below: Yeah, that's what I meant if it didn't come out that way.

Reposting from a few pages back, unmag'd 2C fatal stuff. I'll edit in heat sometime during the day unless someone beats me to it.
Edit: Heat done
Apologies in advance for possible redundancy - on the note of general-anywhere-anyone unmag'd FC 2C:Third post has this for highest damage midscreen:
FC 2C > 6B > 2C > AC > step fwd > j.C > j.2C > 2B > A Sledge > 5C > 6A > AC > Choice of:
- B/EGadget [3906 / 53]

2B>Asledge also doesn't reach Platinum (unless I just suck/tight timing) so here's something for her. Hits most everyone else too if you want a more easymode FC.

Also a (slightly) less damage, more heat Platinum/"everyone" version:

Pretty much required in Japan's schooling system unless I'm mistaken (possible).
(Sorry for non-video bump)
-
It's not about teching greens or not. Making command grabs an automatic "tech stage -1" (green -> untech, purple-> green) isn't logical from a system mechanics perspective, and isn't even a buff for that matter. It's a gimmick, like almost every Tager adjustment ever.
-
Lol you guys are so funny."Alleged buffs"
"Well there's probably a reason these all suck"
Also, you can't tell me a +4 jab is a bad thing. That's ridiculous.
The Tager Player is a cynical species that is wary of any show of affection, knowing the other hand has a good ol' nerf/gimmick bat.
5A and 5B buff are great if they last, Everything else so far is kind of "what" but it could be worse.

I was just thinking the gaurd point counter reminds me more of BangSounds like it. Just curious now if it's 236A/B or just A/B to counter.
Hell, Voltic + charged BSledge + Hammer sounds like a pretty long period of projectile invul. Shame that it doesn't sound that practical on paper. Would have to be in a coma to not hit Tager out of that at any point.
-
I can't see it happening unless charged Sledge does something special like long crumple stun or knocks them into the air, or 5D wallbounces them on normal hit air or ground. Neither makes sense given what we know. If 5D gatlings into 5C, that would pretty silly.
j.C > Sledge doesn't make sense either. I'm kind of assuming "complete gibberish" right now.
-
Still doesn't make repeating it funny, but there's an explanation.
Loketest is still loketest in any case.
-
Just so easily defeated though. Forward/back tech or mash A. And again, all you get is the extra 5B damage/heat (almost nothing) without RC. Could kill, and I guess is slightly better than minimum damage MTW, so there is that.
Edit: On a related note, whatever happened to the old double gadget gimmick?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fpL5dksvFs&t=1m3s
I'm probably late to the party, but this 5B > Gadget "trap" seems...stupid. More so than the usual options and for practically no payout unless you RC into a dumb prorated combo. I know, combo video. Still.
Shorter version: This is pretty useless. Correct/incorrect?
-
5A > 5B > 5C > 6A > 4D/whatever a possible legit (standing) string/combo/whatever, then? Or something thereabouts.
e: Make some ritual sacrifices and hope that we keep this.
-
I could see some niche uses for Sledge charge against (fullscreen?) projectiles (Noel Fenrir, Makoto BBS, Arakune floorbugs super, uh... Hazama Mizuchi) trying to (chip? whatever?). Not that it comes up that often. Depends on reach, how long it can be held, etc.
And by niche I mean "I'm reaching for a rationalization."
e: And most of those are pretty stupid/desperate options on the opponent's part.

Paste from loke thread
Additional stuff from this blog:Tager: (some stuff is already known, but there's some extra details)
B sledge can be charged, charging increases damage and travel distance
Voltic charge speed increased, can sledge to counter if a move is guardpointed with it. (You can follow up for a combo of ~4000 damage, pretty painful)
5B>5C now combos for both ground and air hits
6A magnetic pull is weaker, amount of damage that can be guard pointed is increased
Spark bolt speed decrease, wall bounce weakened. Can catch opponent on bounce with collider
B driver (I think that's 360B? didn't know it used to work though..) no longer chains into collider
Speed decrease as well on Spark is pretty sad.
-
This is probably a baseless worry over the wording given on that change, but "5B -> 5C now combos against an airborne opponent" implies you might have to prop them up first. It's an easy fix if that's the case (2B > 5B > 5C > AC) but just a thought.
-
Projectile-invul-startup (from 1F?) Spark would be a great start, of course.
And, not to go hopeless-wishlist-mode but, something like Slidehead.
Just... make at least one of his anti-airs not always stuffed by practically everything.
-
I seem to pass these combos on. I never see the reason to use them. Got any CH 2C combos, good sir?Uh, FC 2C is the same thing as CH 2C since it's a fatal. Unless you're talking about something else entirely and I'm being dense.
Edit at below: It took like 15 minutes. Practically the same as CS1 Fatals with a different opener.

Better horizontal range. Anti-airs that aren't completely terrible. A wider hitbox on 5C.
Pray.

So what happened to "too punchy" (Ghost Rider, Iron Fist) and whatever PhoenixW's deal was with "OBJECTION doesn't translate well" (or was that just for TvC or something)?
Don't get me wrong, rebalance + Doctor Strange + Strider is pretty nice. Just... wow so soon. And "just" 2 DLC characters after that. Get...confused?

Spider-Man is fun. Wesker is fun. Put them together, and you have resets all day. Viper is also fun. I need to stop putting Wesker on every team I make, but he's so nice

so im wondering if my team of zero, hulk sentinel all with the 1st assist could have some improvementPersonally I think Ryuenjin is Zero's worst assists, but none are fantastic. Hadangeki for approach, Shippuga for pressure/combo extend. Zero to Hulk DHC is nice though. Jump loop BnB builds almost 2 meter, Rekkoha to Gamma Crush is 800k. Gamma Wave works after Zero's airthrows and lets him combo after, so that's kind of nice. Not sure of Zero-Sent and Hulk-Sent interactions, but drones are good I guess, so yeah.
-
Think Beast's current look is some blue panther mutation nonsense or something. Because blue monkey guys turn into blue panther guys. And now I know there's an X-Men anime. My days have become 2% less boring.
On topic (?), latest iteration of a Zero BnB hits 760k ish and gives just shy of 2 meter, goes from corner to corner, and uses 2 single button charge busters. Stylish? Bad news is that I've only made the extended bits work with a wallbounce assist (Spencer/Wesker, but a little less than...) and Chun's legs, though Jam Session might also work. Sort of waiting on buying Shuma before I make a video of it though. Have a setup idea. Sogenmu DHC into Hyper Mystic Ray, instead of Rekkoha.
Trish is fun-ish. Boomerang super is pretty sweet. Think I finally have finalized teams now after 40 billion minor changes over the past weeks. Should be fun. (On a side note, they're color-coordinated. Squee.)

I'm just smiling every time I see inferior combos being posted over there. In their actual character forums.
And I'm not talking super advanced hardcore 1-frame links or anything like that. Just plain having the right idea but not following through and losing 50-200k braindead easy potential damage. And sometimes for more work.
Also the complete disgust for numbers notation with some posters over there is pretty lol. Such as this gem:
I still dont know how to read those numbered annotation or understand the benefit to take the time learning what each number means.I would post there but registration ate my activation email or something so I can't actually post with my account. Oh well. Must be fate.

Shameless plugging of combo experimentation and stylish stuff I'm experimenting with for a few characters. Transcripts and such are on the video page if you want em. Likely still room for improvement.
I apologize in advance for making you listen to the first 15 second of Spencer's (awesome) theme like 50 times.

So... you can get thrown out of 2D?
What the hell.
