    I wonder how many more frames are being added to Lambda's D attacks. Didn't they seem fine already? A whiffed drive from her is over 40 frames of recovery, it almost seems a little absurd to nerf it more, right? any idea by how much they extended the recovery? I already thought 40 was enough, her damage from zoning isn't massive anymore so it seemed balanced as is. Playing other Lambda's when I'm stuck in the corner, the price for them guessing just wrong once is pretty massive. It took time to get used to, but I'm fine with Lambda, I like her. My issue at this point is a few characters, it still makes me a sad panda that Hazama was basically Lambda but better in everything except for guard breaking. I'm hearing that gravity is better, but with the Invincibility gone, how is it useful? It would need to be combo'd into or punish a whiff from someone, right? Taking out chicken blocking is fine...but giving Ragna's 5B anti air is so dumb that I can't really expect it to stay (it could but I'm skeptical). 5B is already damn good, how about improving upon some of his attacks instead of giving him another CT Nu 2C attack. Jin getting 6A into gattling sounded broken until I heard it won't combo. It's so slow as it is, people shouldn't be getting hit by it much. 5C being anti air just sounds plain stupid, wasn't 6C good enough for that?
  2. Most of the games weren't that close until near the end of our session though, I was running out of steam by then. I think this time around you dropped the combo's because you got so nervous to finally get through my zoning. I'm not even sure what I did differently tonight. Last night I played crappy though

  3. Yeah, I told you, I realized how to get TK loops off much easier online. Instead of you waiting for the usual drop, you either bursted or ate 4k damage. I hope I can keep it up

  4. I wonder what I could have done against you. You blocking highs and lows so well. I can't use too much 4DD, and 214D is iffy depending on the distance. Plus 236B/C is so trash if the Hakumen has a solid defense. I definitely hate going from god tier to being outclassed by half the cast being A tier as a B tier. I still do pretty well without my god tier, it's mainly just a few people beating me, mainly people playing A tier/S tier. Your defense was pretty legit though, I only really started to focus and play well in our last two games, I'm not too sure what I did differently then. In short, I played like ass tonight, and your defense was legit.

  5. But yeah man, I wasn't entirely sure how to mix you up. Truthfully, Lambda's mixup is pretty awful now. She has super easy stuff to react from zoning, I hate 236B and 236C, I don't use them very much against serious opponents. Lambda's damage is such garbage too. If I punish you with a counter TK you have nothing to worry about. Her melee damage is garbage. 236B can be countered for like 4K plus by Hakumen, which is pretty dumb, to be honest. Hakumen can zone very well, has huge amounts of health, can't be pressured due to his drive, tight blockstrings, and dumb damage in general. It broke my heart when I hit you so much in a round and you landed two hits and won. Lambda's damage is so garbage, unless the opponent makes a MASSIVE mistake or eats something in the corner

  6. You did good. I wasn't too happy with my performance. I was too annoyed with myself to focus on Flying, so I was less concentrated on him and more on you, and it hurt how I was playing against him from it. I noticed a lot of bad habits from FlyingVe, but I didn't focus on punishing it because I was trying to think of your hakumen instead. I noticed he loved to wait for the wakeup and roll DP so it was easy enough to win one of the close games to him. He spams a lot of 5C/6C so when I concentrate more I'll punish him for it. He was getting wrecked in the corner one game because I noticed how much he mashed C attacks

  7. It's wierd, in CT you seemed to have more trouble against my Nu in CT. I get the feeling my playstyle is kinda awkward for you. How even were you going with Stickbug? I get the feeling his execution for combo's and loops are so much better than mine. Is the matchup even?

  8. Lambda's zoning is AWFUL against Hazama. It's like a 7-3 matchup. Hmm, against MU it seems to be who knocks who down first I was getting used to overheads and lows halfway through. We had some bullshit rounds. There was that one game where I like, "damn, he did terrible this round" then you landed one freakin' hit and I lost the entire game. Me losing from that timeout killed me too. At least your defense is better than mine, I couldn't deal with Mihawks crossups quite often. I had to keep him pressured to avoid my shitty defense

  9. Well, 4C was working really well for a while. I'd run up and you got counters from it and started fucking my day up. It almost seemed like you stopped using it from me closing in at one point. Oh, by the way, you didn't notice it, but you tended to to 4C at the beginning to round 2 a lot so I got some hits from that

  10. I didn't play too great last night. Not awful, just not good. The games in Tranzworld's were too laggy so I couldn't adjust. I'm still pumped from that room! I'm glad I still gave you hell. I got pretty upset with how good Hakumen's mixups were. And damage. I wasn't angry outward, but inside I was mad, haha. Your defense is still really tight, I felt really under pressure from your defense. Until I had you in the corner, then I had to you locked in big time

  11. Sweet. I don't know, the first few games we had were so smooth. I was just honestly really in the zone near the end of us just being in the room one on one. I had so much fun playing Lambda like my CT Nu. I don't like playing her conservatively, I kinda think her damage is too ass for that. Once you shook my rust off I started getting bolder with her, and it worked out REALLY well! When Flying Ve picked Hazama I thought I was fucked, had no idea I'd pressure him so badly, his Hazama wasn't bad though, he played really well against you Not sure about lag, I can believe it. I can give you my phone number if you're in town though. I'd love to learn from you guys

    Well, I guess you guys are right. If they nerf and change the characters above her to be a bit more balanced than she's fine as is. I think if the characters stayed as powerful than she'd need those jcs.

    I'm not trying to get greedy and ask for 4DD to be jc on whiff. But man, having the jc's would be so nice. I don't even think she'd be broken with it. Her damage isn't crazy anymore, her 2C blows my asshole, and she doesn't have teleporting bullshit. People who heard the jc's coming back seem so positive she'll be broken again 214D might seriously be Lambda's ONLY good tool, and they're deciding to nerf that? We've seen how matchups have gone against characters who don't have to really deal with Lambda's 214D... And 236D is already god awful, why would they nerf that even more? It's only the first loketest, but if these changes occurred by the last loketest, we'd be looking at Lambda being in Rachel tier

    What half decent player gets hit with a really meaty 3C outside of a corner? I'm really excited for jump cancels because of the mindgames and pressure. I don't think these buffs are unreasonable, she'll be A tier (like half of the rest of the fucking cast) Now that I can do TK cresents from 5D/4DD people won't get so fucking cozy just blocking low. This will make 236B SO much better too. Her mixup game was so, so sad. And her only pressure involved 214D (like, seriously, it's her only tool to keep pressure). God, I'm so excited

    She's not garbage, but she's not great. All her damaging stuff comes from corner loops and counters. And slow ass moves like 214D and 236C. Her melee is awful. Her damage from her melee blows. Her mixup sucks. She's certainly better than Noel and below, but god, she's outclassed by everyone above her Seriously, Hazama does everything better than her except breaking primers. He zones way better than her, his melee is better, his reversal is fucking godly, better heat gain, faster. Seriously, he can hit you with chain 3 fucking times by the time Lambda is finished with her 40 something frames of recovery from 5D. Jump cancels from swords is music to my ears. I used so many mindgames from her cancels. 5DD not being jc would be nice, but I'll certainly live.

    Oh. My. Gawd! If 5D/4DD becomes jc she won't suck complete ass anymore! I loved doing 5DD>TK feint shannigans and such. God, this shit would be so hot! If they stick with these changes and fix CS's netcode I might start playing again! my pressure game/zoning got so much worse because of the lack of jcs she had. If she's going to have shitty damage at least give her this. If they can give her a ground melee move that does good damage without meter/ch then she'll actually be A tier! HURRAY ...Uhh, are these changes for CS 1, and if so, how many months will they change all this? (providing they keep these in the next loketests)

    Here's what you wrote in response to me at Gamefaqs when I mentioned her damage output, "That's funny, because most of Lambda's hits, hit confirmed correctly, are 4k-4.5k. I was just playing Severin, believe me, I know." Don't know about you, but I don't see "many hits" here, bra! And geez, Hazama v Lambda may be 6.5-3.5? Wow. I was thinking more 6-4 and assumed it was me : / It felt harder than just a .5 disadvantage but man...I was thinking, "how the hell is this almost an even matchup? He does everything Lambda does but better, she can't zone him, she can't mix him up close, if he lands just one single hit/chain he gains 40 meter, and because he hit you just once now you have to respect him and zone carefully. Once he gets the heat it's like you basically have to wait until something actually lands to continue. He can't be corner pressured very well thanks to his reversal super. Hazama is damn solid, man, I can see why the Japanese think he's better than Ragna now

    Is Haku v Lambda a bad matchup now, I thought it was even? ...I don't think I lost a legit game against one except a few from Mac. Even then, it felt more like Lambda's favor. It's interesting, before Hazama was ranked just under Lambda, now he's low S/high A tier. I don't think I have a hard time believing it now though, he's just so solid. He feels kinda like CT jin to me The Japanese have learned to shut Ragna down. IB his shit and react to overheads. Ragna will always be S tier in America gameplay though :3

    Yeah, exactly. I knew Dacid would be obnoxious if I tried to argue with him so I let it go. But watching a lot of top Lambda players, they're only getting 4K damage if they force major mistakes.

    It saddens me where Lambda is on the tier list now Dacid says Severin was averging about 4-4.5K per hit for damage, and I have a very hard believing him. Yeah, I know, top Bang player, and he said Lambda does big damage if hit right...but...that doesn't seem right, the video's of Goro and Minori don't have them doing 4K and 4.5K's for a lot of stuff they hit unless certain conditions are met Her damage output seems pretty awful if she can't force a big mistake like Stickbug said. Her big damage seems to come from corner loops, counters, and a really awful 236C. Without those three conditions, her damage seems really pathetic without meter, and god, does it feel like her meter build is awful unless a loop is involved. Without 2C her melee has gone to shit (2C was so broken though). It certainly feels like everyone above her tier is significantly better, but I'm not at all saying that's a fact, and I'm sure I'm wrong. I think what irks me now is not losing a godly 2C, or nerfed damage, but her swords are soooooooo slow. Meanwhile Hazama's zoning is so, so much better, along with a better close up game. He feels and does everything Lambda does, but much better (not including guard breaking). It's not surprising she's B tier, but it really feels like she gets walked on by the characters Stickbug listed. A lot. She's partially an awesome character and partially really shitty

    Tuka was right about your video though, you were overusing TK feints way too much : / I do too sometimes but you went nuts. Against a good opponent that shit'll get you destroyed. I hope you know lots of characters can super in a blockstring involving feints. Some can super even if you go for the real TK. And you can get DP'd out of a TK too, I think. Had the Ragna been good he would have seriously fucked your day up, destroyed your blockstring and then left you in the position to block And I was playing last night against someone with a really solid defense (but like an American, will fall for overheads), god, Tuka was so right about 236D, it's fucking awful. He jumped and IAD almost everytime and either punished me or left me under pressure. Except maybe in the corner against a lot of pressure and conditioning, that move is really bad against anyone not Tager
