    [CP 2.0] Changes Discussion

Crescent is a longer range overhead that is hard to read and attack on startup. People can't mash 5A to stop it and 5B/C may have too much startup when the opponent needs to react to seeing it. The Cancel is scary because Nu doesn't commit to something, and if the opponent commits to a DP and whiffs/gets blocked, they are eating 4k. This drives the point that people don't want to attempt to attack something they know they can't beat. The delay Crescent makes the opponent scared to react because they thought they could block high, expect to block low, and go back to blocking high. They aren't even thinking of punishing it because once again, Nu is out of range and makes the opponent react too slowly. The safest thing people can do is jump block, but because of the mind game of delay Crescent, and the speed of Crescent cancel into immediate lows, people won't instinctually do it. Crescent is a -11 move that is unpunishable on recovery and 80% of the cast can't attack her on startup of her next option. Delay Crescent being +11 (by the looks of it) is an absolute nightmare for people. It completely makes up for 4B being gone.

And 2.0 has much better zoning capabilities with her flexible Revolver Action. After watching recent Lambda, I knew Lambda wasn't going to cut it with zoning.

3/4k anywhere anyhow, no meter. Meter gets used to help hitconfirm and increase mixup potential.

I thought j.214[D] keeps you airborne.

214D is 4 spikes 214DC is 2 spikes 214[D] is full screen spikes J214D is Crescent J214DC is Cancel J214[D] is Delay Crescent 236D is Pizza Cutter 236DC is Reverse Pizza Cutter 236[D] is Wall Bounce Cutter I'm wondering if you can control how long you can hold the D moves, especially for Crescent.

Just noticed while watching a higher quality video: Nu's Drives do Chip damage now (looks to be about 10 each). I've watched so many videos and completely missed this detail. This is a big push for Nu's zoning. Your opponent can't just block all day.

I think I would use it since people will just block Nu because she doesn't have 4B anymore. Also, removing Barrier is always good.

It's the same as CP1.1 in animation and function. Nu is just never that close to use it and she still gets outstanding damage without it. Everyone is better off saving it for a CA or Super finish.

Anyone know what the commands are for Nu's air D's now?

j623C is pretty silly. Can't wait for Air Gravity.
  11. We'd also probably see Combo > CT > Stuff. It pays for itself with a hit or two.

    [CP](Pre-Release) ν-13 Gameplay Discussion

I believe opponents see that as an opportunity to be more aggressive and thus make more mistakes than they would against Dia. Luna is bad at neutral, but great at okiezeme. Nu as a whole now has the ability to get into players' heads, something Lambda lacked a lot of and was only getting worse as CS was nearing the end of its life. With mode changes, opponents can completely misjudge a mode's mixup or playstyle. It gives her something fresh and dynamic to an otherwise straightforward zoning game.

I like how no one sensed the sarcasm from the first part of my post. I'm just annoyed that she gets little play still and the majority of it that I see is the zoner failing to zone.

Speaking of which... Tao/Haku's 6B overheads have low invulnerability. Why can't Nu's 4B have it too? It's not like it's comboable into Ex Ragna damage while Tao/Haku can't really do anything after it without meter. #bufflarsnu But for real, she's way better than before, but still can't haggle with the big boys just yet. What's it gotta take?

Can't really post anything if there is no gameplay of Nu for a week... I'm exaggerating a little bit but it's true. And most of the Nu players get their ass destroyed by making stupid mistakes like trying to Dia Gravity a Tager who just Gadget Fingered them...
