  3. question: what is the worst result if macros don't get banned? defense, combos, etc become easier, causing...? justice gets a buff of sorts, causing..? compare that to the worst results of if macros get banned, if justice gets banned, whatever

    How would you feel about a Capcom vs Arc Systems?

    namco vs arcsys pls(with an emphasis on soul calibur) that way we can play dressup with all the characters. tsubaki in ragna's clothes. bridget in i-no's clothes. bang in maxi's clothes. azrael in makoto's clothes. talim in bridget's clothes. venom in zalasamel's clothes. robo-ky in alisa's clothes. the awesome and hilarious possibilities are endless also i think bb/gg characters could be fit into sc5's system reasonably well.

    i like batman's chara specific button a lot. does anyone else in the full cast have a similar one? i wish you had more ways to angle it and i wish you could just spend one bat at a time if you had three, but oh well game seems interesting, ill try it more when its actually out
  7. That is incredibly lame. Why would they take that away? It wasn't overpowered or anything. They could have removed it from 6c without removing it from everything. Fuck, that is one of my favorite things. Yes, i am aware of this. 6b can still lead into damage, you just have to commit to 6c after which has risks. Not a big nerf, just pointing it out.
  8. wait, is kote cancel actually gone/nerfed for pressure strings or do you just mean 6c kote combos? also, she did lose 6b[m] CH wallbounce, godlike meter gain in combos(almost everyone lost combo meter gain of course, but the extent was an advantage litchi had over others), and kokushii oki
  9. Thanks to everyone for the discussion/information/answers! Yeah, i did not backdash in those situations. Like cor/toan noted, I think it was being guarded later in the active frames due to the hitbox changing across the active frames, but i might be wrong.
  10. I dont think so. Testing with mu trying to punish litchi's DP on block: -If you 6c ASAP, you hit litchi and the staff doesnt hit you. -If you time 6c slightly late, either litchi is able to block and the staff hits you or you get hit out of startup. There is no situation here where both litchi and mu get hit because mu hit "too late" in some vague way. The situation i'm talking about is where litchi gets punished but the opponent still gets hit by the staff. Also, thanks for the point about lambdas 3c, errol.

Itsuu takes 8f to actually get autoguard so i dont think that's possible, and it was not after litchi blocking.. however, the fact that makoto can do that is very interesting and may be relevant. I dont think so, iirc punishers that just barely hit before the staff arrives(like 20f punishes IIRC) punished it reliably when i tested it.. it may have something to do with chains or projectiles, though.
  12. i have a few questions which i may be really late in not knowing about or whatever but: 1)has anyone encountered things like litchi autoguarding lambda 3c even though its a low? this happened at the meetup yesterday a few times, i think all in the same situation(after a throw tech IIRC). it happened a few times but we could not reproduce it outside of that situation when we tried recreating it this reminds me of how noel 3c seems to be inconsistent when it comes to actually stopping tager's 6a super armor 2)normally, when someone blocks litchi's dp, they just hit a button to punish and the dp's falling staff followup just falls right through them and doesnt actually hit them as long as they hit litchi in time. however, sometimes it hits them anyway. i dont see any pattern in this and i've seen it in arcade footage too, like with a ragna punishing with 5b 5c but being hit by the falling staff during 5c. what causes this? is it just a glitch?
  13. i could do chun->dash 5b in cs2 consistently and i miss doing that combo haha, but 5b[m] 2c 5d dash 5a is annoying as fuck
  14. even though mu has advanced stuff, it is easy to get decent damage with corner combos with her, so that may be a good start not at all, sf charas dont have specials->specials and the meter management with it like haku does
  15. So i noticed 2b[m] 4b works without counterhit on standers, but does anyone know if it works at the max range of 2b[m]? That'd be sweet as hell if it does, especially since it apparently leads to 4,000 midscreen.
  16. she may be stronger in terms of damage thanks to cool stuff like 5b 4b and the return of 4d midscreen combos and staffless midscreen combos after rekka, but im sort of not happy with some changes(no more wallbounce on 6b means need to dedicate to 6c, daisharin is now a comeback mechanic, no more meter oki, seems like it might be harder to go into four winds oki, itsuuA no longer having followup on block, general MASSIVE nerf to meter gain in combos means less options on top of how she pretty much only uses meter for reversal super now lol) more abare in some situations(mm 2b[m] ch 4b) and 2d[m] being faster is kind of nice(2d[m] after 6c[m], which now has less pushback, seems to set up a decent situation) but overall i dont think she looks more fun. cs2/cse/cp litchi look roughly the same in terms of fun to me. there's also the fact that no character exists in a vacuum, so how fun playing her will be will depend on other charas and such(lol xfactor, lol bbcp hakumen. cool, my chara generally does more damage! and then when i have 60% hp and they have 20% i die in one midscreen hit anyway because of xfactor. cool)

  18. Is there some particular use for kanchan outside of combos? Wallbouncing on normal hit is nice and it seems like sometimes it moves her past the opponent fast enough that it will dodge attacks, but i just dont see what its purpose is outside of getting lucky(?) with that. I've seen one litchi player launch staff and then do kanchan and the staff return hits them at a timing which allows her to pressure after getting in with kanchan, but that sort of strategy seems really vulnerable to just neutral jumping or whatever. I also wonder if the hurtbox is meh enough to where the other player could just mash self-gatling jabs and easily beat it every time. Maybe it's for "catching" people who double jumped and putting them into pressure, maybe air normals dont hit it very well? I dunno. What do you guys think? new moves being primarily for combos is boring lol

  20. i dont like most of litchi's new colors, i want bbct/cs colors :x also, i take it that litchi can't cancel into itsuu on block from anything even though it isnt + anymore? i guess they would have to make that a late cancel or a block cancel only since they dont want you comboing into it via chains litchis dont seem to be using kanchan at all anymore outside of combos. lol new moves only good for combo meat? if they're used to reacting to 4d then i guess sometimes 6a[m] is useful to surprise them a bit especially when you have meter to rapid otherwise i guess there's gimmicks like mashing 6a over and over from a range for ghetto full screen pokes, lol

    Is there a nice summary anywhere of all the differences between her two modes? 3c combos, 66 cancels in Nu, saw oki(?) and more projectile durability on D in lambda... Doesnt nu also get to use gravity field more?
