Jais Report post Posted June 24, 2010 Been awhile since I asked for some criticism but here goes :3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5r38SHtEhE&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmmGiBVv9Zo&feature=related Been playing in a slump for awhile so not posted anything, but im getting there now, my movements worse than before but my general game is better now. Before I completely ignored 5s but damn is it helpful for baiting wakeup stuff. I'm reacting better to jumps with 6s. I still screw up j.2s jump cancels . Also is 3P a viable AA? I seem to be getting results with it? vid 1- 0:24 sec - j.P>j.2S>jc.S>j.2S>Starship 1:23 - tech airthrow 01:34 - CH 6S>HSS_9, f.S>6S 3:21 - CH 6P, 6S>jc.S>j.2S>jc.S>j.2S 6S against speed characters is a really bad idea. You are only getting away with it b/c your scene. So just be weary about throwing that out when you fight new pplz. you pressure sweep a little too much. Try 2S>2K(whiff) or try HSS_6 or try 2P to reset your pressure You do a good job 2D'ing Millia. I'd recommend picking up damage with it off of FRC. And making it safe/picking up damage off of it by having a HSB in front so if it whiffs you can release the yo yo and avoid the punish on her whiff baiting you. If you want a meaty to beat jumps/backdashes try 2S instead of f.s. You can jc, gatlin to 2K(whiff) to keep pressure going, get more damage, etc. Try delaying your wake-up by holding HS to throw off Millia's oki timings every once in a while. Whenever you try and counter poke with 3P you should always roll the KSMH that way you can hitconfirm get a KD+Oki After a HSS_ you are not attacking her for coming in. You are 1) running back and getting chased ( losing advantage ) 2) calling yo yo back and she can rambo in and get you( losing advantage ) Try HSS_6 then 2S Zerokage would get destroyed by pressuring starship FRC on his wake-up So why are you losing? You are not capitalizing on the hits you are landing. Your friend has some KD combos and solid oki while you don't. Millia is very fast so it is hard to run away from her. Esp when a j.k leads to 30% and KD You keep jumping in on Millia and it never works =P Thanks for posting vids. I'm so glad to see ppl repping Bridget. Good luck ^^ <
Jamy Report post Posted June 25, 2010 Ok Jais will take that on board. I've only recentley been playing around with whiff 2k. 2D FRC I'm inconsitent with and Starship one I hit 50/50. Hmmm Ok, I'll work on what you've said. The 6S thing, If it will hit, I will use it, If he cottons on I stop. What is the combo of 2D FRC anyway? I was trying to work it out in training mode (Just guessing) Big big thanks Jais. Always a great help, Planning to take this tourney I have on Sunday, So I'll work on what you've said. Always gonna rep Buri, not stayed on a character in any fighting game this long before. :
Jais Report post Posted June 25, 2010 2D FRC combo "easy" one - 2D FRC 2S>6S>jc.S>j.2S>jc.S>j.2S "proper one" - 2D 6+FRC 6 5K>6S>jc.S>j.2S>jc.S>j.2S As a rule of thumb, whenever you make contact you always want to have 2 different flows, granted there are burst bait points and you'll need to compensate for or not for a burst =P 1) Most damaging -- if no HSS then most definitely the 2D FRC 2) Most damaging while still KD --if no HSS then just c.s(1)xKSMH~P --is HSS --[standing] f.s>HS, IAD.p>j.K>j.S>j.K land c.s(1)xxKSMH~P --[crouching] f.s>HS, 66 2K>c.s(1)>6P>c.s(1)xxKSMH~P Good luck this weekend and have fun fun =D

Raptor Report post Posted August 10, 2010 I would like to get some critique of my Bridget on it's first day at a minor tournament setting. Note I know I still have a LONG way to go before even being decent, so hopefully this newbish play of mine doesn't bother anyone too much. http://www.justin.tv/b/striderzer0/b/268068543 0:11:00 (vs. Jam) 1:19:00 (vs. Pot) 1:46:00 (vs. another Pot....) Mahouko Report post Posted August 10, 2010 against poto at 1:19, First match, you didnt yoyo that much. My advise when fighting temkin. IADing into him is very unsafe, and you didnt have a yoyo behind him to back you up. In the second round I think what got you was his slidehead and you forgot to jump it XD Second Match, You kept getting it by his slide head after his overdrive. However be careful cause if you jump he can 623h. Second round, you did alot better. You were keeping your distance and did not get into his range. Remember beware potemkin buster. When fighting potemkin try to stay away from him as much as possible. Mobility is your best friend. We know she does ass damage, ass moves, but mobility is that one shining hope you have. Also abuse that yoyo, it will keep him at bay ok for now thats my little input. Oh and one more thing do you know how to 214k fd cancel? If you dont learn it right away. Thats one of bridgets saving graces and a move you are going to abuse alot. It will help you out very much. Keep up the good work.
Raptor Report post Posted August 11, 2010 Thank you for the input. Well, after seeing some more vids of pro Bridgets, I am seeing my own flaws that I need to correct. I'm not throwing the yoyo out enough, need to incorporate more stuff into my blockstings (like 2K, rarely used that), use less 2S, and of course finding the FRC point on the important moves that are capable of leading to big combos. Am I wrong on this?

Am I wrong on this? Yo-yo lots, but make sure its safe to throw out because your open when you do. 2k is something I don't use as much as I should really but yeah its a good normal, 2s is good if you space it out right, if you hit it far its not really punishable on block from my experiance. Only FRC points that you really should worry about are Starship and 6k to start with. (I'm gonna clock the video now and have a look myself :3)

Alex073088 Report post Posted September 27, 2010 omg that johnny combo did so much damage =/, how can you compete with this kinda shit. And i loved your outfit, and i think your bridget played perfect. thank you sooo much for uploading it was a real joy watching you play. kinda inspired me to learn stick so i can hold yo-yo and attack at the same time. its very difficult on the ps2 pad
Jais Report post Posted September 27, 2010 Mahouko- You have a very solid Bridget Good job
Kyle Report post Posted September 28, 2010 Mahouko- I just watched match#1:A few things. Round 1, from 30 seconds left you should have worked the clock. You had a HUGE health lead and had no reason to approach, especially with movement crazy Bridget. You are playing the spacing counter poke/frame trap game well, I believe a few more throws will really increase the success rate of your pokes. Congrats to solid USA Bridgets, you're +1! Jais Report post Posted October 13, 2010 Some more matches of me playing. Once again any thoughts please share. You are a very good Bridget player ^^ I'm gonna give you 'could have's so you can see some opportunities you missed. Be aware, I do this in jp match videos too, it' snot judging. YOU ARE GOOD it's constructive criticism ^^ ------- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8aIJIOUjhw Pressuring 6P on faust wake-up stuffs FB and his 5D 0:33 CH callback, j.P. You could have done a 6S there and then j.S 0:40 combo w/ approaching projectile. You could have rolled over the robo-ky and continued combo by c.S(1)xx236+K j.P>j.2S V 2P>2D ------- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XG_7CaHwPao good job jumping and blocking bags 0:25 CH punish w/ CH 2S>6S>B&B 0:41 terrible IAD in ,ACK and why? 0:46 air blocked punch bear, You could have air dashed for a fuzzy mix-up after the j.P block stun was extended by the punch block stun. Or a landing low. The double overhead was the worst mix-up option you could have done there. 0:54 CH callback, You could have combo's a running 6S>HSS_# 0:57 AA 5k? what? 1:02. Your hit confirm is wrong. 2S delay gatlings. So CH 2S>6S>B&B. Your mental hit confirm (now) is 2S>2K whiff ( path for CH, path for block). The mental flowchat should be 2S(path for CH-6S, path for hit-2D, path for block-2K) 1:12 don't know why you chose to run in full screen when you are Bridget? 1:18 - 2D>FRC>B&B lots of damage 1:24, running into the corner isn't a good idea, unless vs Chipp 1:49, non delayed wake-up, 2K(low profile) block bomb and running 6S>B&B combo off of bomb hitting his hitbox 2:05 - the free-est airthrow I have ever seen @_@ 2:39 good throw 2:57 - There's that 'putting yourself in the corner' again ack 3:08 good throw -------- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFDS7O906X4 0:06 - you gatlin to 2K too fast and miss your delay gatling options 0:10 - falling 2S ruined your combo. It was a CH falling bear so you should have hit confirmed and let it naturally combo into itself and just landed into 6S>B&B 0:19 good job jumping and air blocking. match-up knowledge++ 1:03 - you didn't hit comfirm your CH 6S combo and you went to the block string for the UB even though the RogerGet combo'd. 1:26 - otg combo would kill. running 2K>2P>2P>2P>2P>f.S after that KD 1:27 - should be a reaction air throw 1:56 - good throw ( should have been his but you punished him for not throwing you) -------- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78HEHZCh0hw 0:04 you ran in full screen again even after your RogerGet was killed you should definitely hit confirm your scenarios. 0:08 , CH callback, then an IAD in. A lil too much approaching for Bridget. Especially fruitless ones. Rest of the match was awesome. ----- So yeah, You are very good. I am impressed. Everybody falls short of theory fighting. EVERYBODY. So take nothing personal. Work on * your hit confirms * Be wary of the corner and Bridget's poor health * reaction air throws And I can see you winning tourneys. Good Luck :D
Mahouko Report post Posted October 13, 2010 Thank you so much Jais. Dont worry I needed this, if i did not want to get advice i would have never posted.
