Hello OK dustloopers. After finding only minor interest in BB and Arcana Heart 3 at SRK, I thought I'd check out dustloop.

So glad to see some Oklahoma dustloop people!

I'm putting alot of effort into building an Arcana Heart 3 community. I'm going to start weekly meetups for AH3 and I'd be happy to have some BB/GG there too. More importantly I'll be starting Arcana Heart 3 monthlies on April 30th!

I plan to add BlazBlue to the monthlies as soon as Continuum Shift 2 comes out stateside. Texas already said they are interested in coming and playing BB and AH3 with us next month. You guys should come down this month and play in the little local tournament so we can be prepared for all the big whigs coming in from out of state in may.

We are piggybacking on another tournament venue (Shoutout to Oklahoma Smash that has been so helpful!) so the venue fee will only be $5 and there will be a $5 entry fee.

Location

Sooner Room in the Oklahoma Memorial Student Union at the University of Oklahoma

900 Asp Ave # 428

Norman, OK 73069-4849

Free Parking on Saturday

Time

Registration & Setup 12:00 PM

Registration Closes 1:00 PM

Tournaments Begin 1:30 PM (Arcana 2:00)

if you have any questions PM me. Otherwise I'll be seeking people out for weekly meetups later this month.

You can find the full tournament details here

Ok so im really really trying to go to Devastation. Im thinking of renting a car to do so and hoping someone will go with me, and by someone i mean 4 someones.

It's a 17 hour drive, most likely end up sleeping a night at a random motel in between.

It'd cost between 150-300 dollars depending on vehicle, naturally im going for 170-ish max. We'd all have to chip in a bit for that. 40-50 bucks a person + gas.

We'd leave Wed. Oct 5th around noon and get there 6th hours after leaving a random hotel we slept in and leave Mon. Oct 10th around noon and be back on the 11th, hours after leaving hotel. So it'll be like a week of being gone lol.

The event is only 35 bucks and hotel of course i dont know right now but it'll cost some money as well. Really want to go lol.

Oh hey, this thread exists, too. Since y'all are close enough, I thought you might want to see this: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?13340-%2A%2A-Arcade-UFO-s-BlazBlue-Revolution-Qualifier%21-%28-2-12-2012-%29&p=1254739#post1254739

Do it if you want to play BB. Or not if you just want to stay in-state.

So, with Persona 4 Arena's release in two weeks, I hope we can get anyone willing to do anything for the FGC in Oklahoma.

Any keepers?

A.R.K. V is about a month away and we'd love to see all you guys there! We're expecting about 200 people from ~10 different states (including confirmed attendance from Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Kansas, Louisiana, California, and Oklahoma) and are throwing in at least $1400 (including $200 to P4A) in bonus pots to support some of our games. It will be on August 25th/26th in Jacksonville, AR with games such as Persona 4 Arena, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend, Soul Calibur V, Super Street Fighter IV: AE, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, King of Fighters XIII, Street Fighter X Tekken, Mortal Kombat 9, and SkullGirls. For more information, visit the official thread here (http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?14526-Aug-25-2012-ARK-V!-1400-Bonus-Pots!-Feat-The-Best-of-the-South!-(Jacksonville-AR)) or holler at me. For anyone who wants to come, I heavily encourage you to preregister online at www.arktourney.com/registration before August 18th to save money on venue fee.

What exactly do you mean good sir?

We should have some casuals for Persona 4 Arena one day to help form a scene for the game in Oklahoma. Since the game is finally released, I hope there will be tournaments, casuals, and maybe some stuff we can do to organize a P4A (and hopefully BBCP) scene in Oklahoma.

How does Tokyo in Tulsa's upcoming Halloween party sound for some casuals?

Hello. I just moved up here to Tulsa a couple weeks ago for college. I've played Blazblue since CT and just bought Persona yesterday.

How's the scene here and how does one get involved in it?

We have a lot of people here that are into fighting games, some that are into shooters (CoD, BF, etc.), and some that are into League of Legends. For the fighting game half, most of us are into SF, KOF, BB, GG, and Persona. We have casuals every Friday for all fighters like iw2ma mentioned.

It's nice to see another FGC player in Tulsa getting involved in the scene here. :)
