ZEPP MUSEUM RULES! (also, Rules.) [Last Upd. March 22 2016]

Recommended Posts

THESE ARE THE RULES OF ZEPP MUSEUM.

Regarding pornography and "Not Safe for Work" (NSFW) content.

  • NSFW content is anything that is or contains:
    • pornography
    • particularly violent content
    • nudity, partial or otherwise
    • panty shots, excessive cleavage, or conspicuous bulges
  • NSFW content is okay to post, under the following conditions:
    • The image in question is behind a text link (no thumbnails or direct image posting).
    • The link is marked (NSFW) (bolded for emphasis here; not actually required).
    • The NSFW content in question is not child pornography, nor could ever be considered child pornography.
    • The content is hosted off-site. NEVER attach NSFW content to a post.
    • If you expect or intend for a thread to contain NSFW content, tag the thread as such.

Regarding the content of posts and threads.

  • Zepp Museum is for art, from official and fan sources, regarding Arc System Works fighting games and their characters. Here are some things that count as art, in case you actually need it spelled out for you:
    • art. Duh.
    • music.
    • cosplay.
    • crafts.
    • video.
    • and, occasionally, storyline content.
  • Any post including or referencing these things belongs here, and is welcomed.
  • Please post things in their appropriate threads. Official art goes in Official Art threads, fanart in fanart threads, etc.
  • When posting images:
    • Use thumbnails for larger pictures, and link to the original.
    • NEVER hotlink images.
    • Post the artist/source when known.
  • If you quote a post containing a picture, remove the %7Boption%7D tags from the post.
  • If you're going to post an image macro or meme, at least make it fighting game related, or put some effort into it. THIS is infinitely preferable to THIS.
  • Create new threads to discuss particular works (a new soundtrack, a request, etc). Trust me, it's fine.
  • Artists are permitted to make new threads to collect their own work in. This work need not necessarily be related to ASW fighting games.

Newest Rule:

Do not post directly to videos relating to the plot of ArcSys games (Arcade/Story Mode, etc). The exceptions are posting an official video (ArcSys themselves, Famitsu, Dengeki, etc), or a LIVE stream from an arcade (do not post to a twitch.tv archive). Much like with music, ASW isn't the biggest fan of these things floating around the internet. Screenshots are ok until ASW starts cracking down on those too. But for now yeah, screenshots seem to be ok.

If you are posting a large string of images, please collapse them using the [collapse = "something has to go after this equal sign and you must delete the space before the equal sign"]your content goes right here[/collapse] tags. Using the new Dustloop's spoiler tagging also works just fine.

Don't do attachments. Attachments diminish image quality and are a hassle to edit if need be. I will remind a user to not attach images if it's a first offense. If repeated, they will receive a warning. I will never infract over (SFW) attachments, but repeat offenders will have posts containing attachments indiscriminately deleted. Use an image hosting site to post your work.

DO NOT

Link to any direct music.
Be it Youtube, NicoNico, whatever, just don't do it. From PMs to Skype to Google, there are plenty of ways to find this stuff on your own. If a match video has a really nice listen to some song (like a vid from Jourdal's channel), that's fine to link to.

Discuss, provide, or request downloads for any of the music.
Either buy the music legitimately or be a scumbag on your own time. Failing to meet this rule will result in a no-questions-asked infraction and your post deleted. Do not direct people to PM you for links to music.

Regarding Official Art threads (BB's in particular): They are not story threads, nor are they general chat threads. They should be for images, comments on the images themselves (not what the image "means" in your opinion), other official works, questions, and other topical posts. It has become harder and harder for users to find art or work in the thread as more space is used up with idle chat. So no more of that, please. Discussion of images may be taken to an appropriate thread so long as it's actually appropriate. An image that has no context does not belong in a story discussion thread. Nor does an image whose only context is a plausible name attached to it.
