Sophisticat Report post Posted January 12, 2011 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm13276093 15:44 - Kanimiso vs. Lambda sorry, too busy to put it on YT, but it's definitely worth the watch. That guy is sick... mAc Chaos Report post Posted January 13, 2011 (edited) I noticed in the second video that Haku kept doing 5A > 5C for oki. What's the point of the 5A? Also a lot of that Haku's play reminds me of myself, but I'm not sure if that's a good thing. Edited January 13, 2011 by mAc Chaos
huey253 Report post Posted January 13, 2011 sure, you don't need hotaru to win. its easily one of the best moves in the game, but you don't really need any single move to win.
qwerty Report post Posted January 13, 2011 (edited) it's probably to help with timing the 5C to hit meaty. also, it can make setups that are otherwise easy to react to a little bit stronger by throwing off your opponent's reaction as well as by hiding your inputs if you wanna do a special or super (this is something that's been done in a lot of games over the years, but most notably kof). i wouldn't worry about it too much though; it's probably just something that particular player does to help him do his thing. Warhound Report post Posted January 13, 2011 sure, you don't need hotaru to win. its easily one of the best moves in the game, but you don't really need any single move to win. Exactly, it would have definitely helped a few situations that guy was in if he'd used Hotaru instead of mashed D. Why is it so hard to find good Haku's like these guys when there are Hazama's a plenty out there?

Sophisticat Report post Posted January 16, 2011 New vids from that NASA tourney: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXfedapRYys http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzKTriuwChs Posting because the combos are interesting and the Haku is good. Note the combo at the end of the first vid for something we haven't seen in action yet.
Warhound Report post Posted January 16, 2011 That's some interesting stuff right there. It's about time we see some note-worthy Hakus coming forward. I keep wanting to see combos that use 6C, but those are pretty situational. If you can do them, they put out some good damage.
BladeOfJustice7 Report post Posted January 20, 2011 Thread updated. I also included some of WallJumpMan's cs1 matches from NorCal Install. He plays a fairly good hakumen, and there's things to be learned from his haku with the matches I posted.
Sophisticat Report post Posted January 21, 2011 Hmm... Hmmmmm...... HMMMMMMM........ ... He's legit. Let's add Walljumpman to the list of NA Hakus to watch. There was also this extra NCI vid of his posted in the Valk forum: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E23lPrrclIM Not the best Haku, but he's got some good stuff going. Also, I am so stealing that j.D -> 5c -> full shippu gimmick.

itsme Report post Posted January 23, 2011 As many of you may already know, adding the code #t=XmYs after a YouTube link will start the video automatically from any point in the video. X representing the number of minutes as m represents minutes and the Y represents the seconds as s represents the seconds. As an example, the Buppa one which starts at 2:18 can be written http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnmjAhyHTyc#t=2m18s and this should automatically start the video from that point in time. This is just something I wanted to point out to make the viewing a bit more faster.
BladeOfJustice7 Report post Posted January 23, 2011 Valid point, I would've been doing that but most of the time, especially with the earlier cs2 videos there's more than one haku fighting in different sections of the video. But I'll start doing that for vids that only have one haku match. Forgot about that, thanks.

Sophisticat Report post Posted January 31, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaH_6Awx8EQ The Haku's pressure in the last round was boss. I like this guy. Next matches are a bit depressing. They also aren't as good as the first Haku above. Skip to the end for the first (~10:20). Second vid is second match: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGOW18nEAH4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hNloAUKZow

So now we have a definite BnB in the corner which is: 214B (1) > 623A > 6C > 2C > (h)j.2A > f.j.2C > 2C > j.2A > air dash > j.2A > j.C Edited January 31, 2011 by Warhound
Sophisticat Report post Posted January 31, 2011 The rest of that Haku: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tJDokI9u6Y http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXwEU3B31ck Looks like 6c will be used more often now to score a knockdown. It might even be a good situational anti-air to blow away AD/jump ins.
mAc Chaos Report post Posted January 31, 2011 I've been using it as an anti air since CT. :<
