But for your case, maybe we can just always have at least the first station dedicated to sets? Seems the most practical since it's also the stream station.

Majority rules my friend, if the whole community enjoys rotations, who am I to ask them to change their format.

@Heartless: That would have been so much easier to accept if it wasn't coming from one of those guys that keeps winning for hours and causes me to play once every 15 minutes : P

When we play, it's mostly 1 v 1 for a while though.

Then when some one wants in, I give my place up and don't come back.

Well, I know you're not the only one who dislikes rotations, Heartless. I can think of a few others I know for sure, but maybe there are more than I thought? There's no "rule" we have to follow, the way we do casuals is just what we feel is the most convenient and preferred by us. If a lot of people would like this to change, don't hesitate about voicing your opinions...

What tends to happen a lot, is there's one station that has a big rotation of like 6+ player (and when you sweep it you feel great), then there's another station with a rotation of like 4 people, where there's usually someone dominating the others, and he should really consider switching to the other station, and then on the third station there's usually 2, maybe 3 people, while everyone else is either eating, drinking, playing marvel, etc.

Enforcing one station to be sets would then not be that different than what we currently have, but I doubt we could find a format that would satisfy everyone. I think something like A-Cho's 11 matches, no matter who wins or loses both get off and the next two get in, would be ok, but what do you guys think?

Bring 1-2 more setups and that should help with the rotation "issue", imo.

Due to number of people that show up, we do rotations so that everyone can get a chance to play and get exp., but it's obviously not the best method if you want to train. Intense 1 v. 1 can't be beat for learning a matchup.

For what it's worth, I like both formats, with a slight preference for 1 v. 1, though rotations bigger than 3-4 people are a turn-off. It's just more fun if you're playing, eh? :)

Maaaaaan, toujours hype de voir des Pedro v. Kirby matches.

Seriously, that's my fave matchup to watch in this community. There's so much stuff going on you can't help but be entertained.

I say everyone brings their setups and go in training mode alone.

Not far enough. Everybody show up in the netplay arcade lobbies and pick a cab.

Pedro, if we'd go for that, wouldn't the same 2 people play each other all the time? At least that way everyone would play the same amount of matches, would be hard to enforce, though.

We could also switch to a 3-round format. Now that bursts recharge over time, there's no downside to having a best of 5. You'd wait longer, but you'd play at least one extra match.

Or maybe it could be "if you beat everyone in the rotation, you have to drop out for one match". Sounds like the easiest to follow.

Main point is you just have to voice it to the table and see if they agree. Worst case you go to another table and try to gauge where there will be the least wait before you can play.

I also agree that it'd be great to have 1-2 extra setups : D

If you're just dominating everyone in the rotation for 5-8 turns, you should probably give up your turn. It's the proper thing to do at that point, but mostly it should be more of a common courtesy or formality than a written rule when it gets to a point.

I, too, would prefer if there were more setups and thus the possibility of running sets as opposed to having a rotation. I can bring a setup whenever I'm over (that is to say, Sundays only), because I'm always coming by car, but there probably aren't a lot more people who can do so. I was also led to believe that, even if we do have more setups on hand, having the space for them was a problem. Foonzo needs to have the space for other customers that aren't from our community, and so we can't always just spill out and take all the tables.

mash(lack of )mas(sive quantities of attending players due to the holiday season)

If that happens, let's have a round robin !!!

Plus it'll be weird granting seeds on weeklies this coming month because of school and NEC

Pfft, people and their spending their holidays with family and friends. You need to be dedicated to the games and nothing else! lol.

But yeah, Round Robin sounds pretty sexy to me if we end up being a small group for the next monthly.

Just my opinion but I think rotations are the best way to let everyone play as much as possible ....and I also kinda agree with kirbster when I'm 1v1 someone I don't really care if I lose cause...oop I get to play again. If you are dominating a rotation you deserve to keep playing and you are ;at the moment the player playing the best and you are then by definition the best exp to play against for everyone else to lvl up. Yeah if you're winning 78 games in a row maybe take a break and give up your spot but other then that the salt you are spreading spurs growth in the other players.....again just my $.02. Maybe I'm wrong....
