Here from Xie's gigantic tier thread:

IV. The Current Tier Lists

No order in list unless indicated by ">>" symbol

Current Dustloop Assessment List: 1/23/12

S Rank: Ragna, Valkenhayn, Hakumen >> Arakune, Taokaka, Hazama

A Rank: Tager, Bang, Carl, Mu >> Relius, Noel, Platinum, Lambda

B Rank: Rachel, Litchi, Jin, Tsubaki, Makoto

Current JP BBS Assessment List: 1/23/12

S Rank: Ragna, Valkenhayn, Hakumen

A Rank: Arakune, Hazama, Tager, Taokaka, Bang, Carl

B Rank: Relius, Mu, Noel, Platinum, Lambda >> Rachel, Litchi, Jin

C Rank: Tsubaki, Makoto

Satoshi List: 1/9/12

S Rank: Ragna, Valkenhayn, Hakumen, Arakune, Taokaka, Hazama, Carl

A Rank: Everyone Else

Too small of Ignis meter, lack of good reversal, iffy air-to-air, and too many situations that dismiss Ignis and put her into slow regeneration is what really puts him into a middle tier grade. Besides that he is a amazingly fun character with a huge damage output. He lacks good mixup but has crazy fun frame traps.

Rachel was evaluated before 5CC after level 2 j.2C came out, iirc, and that new tech is fucking good

Relius is really weak to downback in pressure, but I think he has a better neutral game than I'm giving him credit for right now.

Not a whole lot of people have gotten their hands on Relius yet, and I can bet you once Extend releases in NA today, they'll be some good new stuff to come out.

Not saying what people have found so far is bad, but there could be a lot of untapped potential with him.

I lost my excitement for him a while ago, because of Soul Calibur V and all of the new Skullgirls footage, and I actually decided not to learn him. But now that Extend is actually here, I can't help myself but to want and play him as my sub again. And with that, GET HYPE NA PLAYERS!

l want to try to get the game today (along with a new ps3). cant wait to play this guy.

so can he actually zone well? it looks rather difficult to move ignis to where you want her. looks like 214a is the best way but that takes quite a chunk of meter.

214A is the most reliable way of getting Ignis to your opponent at a distance, as well as leaving you with some + frames to work with. If you're close enough, you can use it to begin pressure if Ignis was previously not summoned. Most of the other specials involving Ignis are too slow to be used to initiate pressure, but rather are stronger on oki.

Also after a 214A, you can use a D move before Ignis has returned to behind Relius to have her do the attack while she is still right next to the opponent (this is useful when you're too far away to start pressure off of a blocked 214A).

You can use more than a D move afterwards. I was doing it into 214C reverse direction attacks from behind the opponent.

Yeah, once Ignis is free to be commanded, you can do whatever you want.

I personally like 214B then 4D when they are at far range, it is fun to see your opponent jump from one end of the screen then back again with that Relius corner carry.

So is anybody gonna put the English Arcade mode on YT?

I won't have my NA copy for a week. So no dice from me unless someone else wants to do it.

I could do it, but it won't be high quality.

So yeah got to play Relius for the 3rd time today, Led Ley with Ignis out is so much cheese, pity its only hit invincible. Roll on 22nd, can't wait to get my hands on this game to really try and help out around here.

So does anyone know what Relius's optimal corner combos are for lots of gauge, little/no gauge, and heat usage? I've been doing 5B 5C/3C 236C 214A dash 6C 214A 5C 4D 5C j.B j.C j.236C j.214A falling j.B 5B 5C 4D 236C 214A but it uses up like 70% of the gauge so you can't really follow up with anything unless you use gear super to buy some recharge time. Dropping the 6C 214A 5C 4D in the middle and just doing 236C 214A 5C etc. uses up less but then the entire thing does bitch damage.

Also I think 4D might have repeat prorate so it's probably not good to be using it twice in a combo.
