The match-up works like Rock Paper Scissors half the time because sweep > 5A/droit; j.B > sweep/5A; 5B > sweep. Basically, if you want to win this match-up you have to read your opponent quite well. The way a match usually works is that it's decided in like five seconds, or both Mitsuru's are being really passive and spacing each other with 5D or something. In my experience, there's really no in between here (Check out the LK vs DIE-Chan video from Evo 2013, even at high-level play it can be decided in seconds).

Though you can do certain things to make yourself more confident during pressure. Such as cancelling 5A or 5AA into throw set-ups, or even 5C. If you're afraid they'll sweep your 5A starts, try tossing in j.B or 2B or throw. You can also back dash on wake-up if your opponent seems to do 5A a lot, but you're unsure if they'll toss in a throw. 5A is still good in this match-up, you just have to know when to use it. Either way, your goal is to get the other Mitsuru player in the corner.

Advice on this match-up is kind of weird because of how crazy it can be. That's probably why no one's asked for advice on this match-up, since it's really just a giant mind game. I've played Zeal plenty of times to know that (We trade win-streaks half the time). My advice probably didn't help much, but I'm not entirely sure what kind of advice would work in this match-up.

Anyways, best of luck!

Well said Sphinx, I couldn't agree more. The only thing I would like to add is that it's just plainly and simple a horrible match-up that can be over in seconds and consists out of nothing but mind games. My only advice would be to read your opponent well and throw in some good old fashioned j.Bs on there. Which works well in chain with a j.C in this case, on counter hit, that is.

I've played Zeal, Rathaloss, SilverTiger, you name it, but it simply is just a very bad matchup. Worst mirror in the game. The key, though, is to instill strong fear in your opponent and make them press something and screw up. Good vs Mitsuru pressure is important here. Also, I'd advice against random B Coup Droits, as they can be low profiled. J.D is also not as strong as a utility, because in case they are walking in they can just 5A you for some serious damage. Only do it out of a instant back airdash, if close enough to the ground. For example after a 2B high jump instant airdash back. It'll put you really close to the ground and still just hit them. If you delay the J.DD in this case slightly, you'll be in the + and this give you some quick mix-up possibilities, such as a cross-up, j.B or slightly delayed hold/hold bait.

There isn't really much more for this match-up I can say, apart from that it'll be over in seconds, so keep your head in the game and try to stay calm and cool. Don't screw up because or panicking. Instead, show them you're not intimidated. It'll have a reversed effect, their pressure can make them scared.

And good luck, you'll need it.
