iad Tatami and TK Youzansen on the pad

Recommended Posts

I read the guide and the "quick" inputs they have for the iad Tatami and the TK Youzansen do not work for the pad(Least when I tried it it did not). The problem im having with is the iad Tatami and the TK Youzansen inputs do not always work or would work randomly whenever I do it on the pad. Is there any specifc inputs you guys use for the pad to use to do these things?

IAD Tatami is always going to be 236956K. The only other way is to do 956 236k as quick as you can. TK Yoz on the pad will be easier by doing 6239S, but I have been able to do the 6321478963S almost as easily.

The idea behind IAD tatami is that you do the tatami motion immediately before doing your airdash- so do 236 and then complete whichever way you normally airdash and you should get it fine. One thing you might be missing is the timing on K itself, make sure you aren't doing it too late (usually the case, it's quite fast after the IAD). Also, because it's a special you can get two inputs for the tatami mat by both pressing the button and letting go, so make sure you're tapping K instead of holding it at all (on joystick, double tapping K gives you 4 inputs, but double tapping isn't really possible on pad). For TK youzansen, 623696(3) is probably your best bet, starting at 6 and going down to 2, up to 9, down to 3. Once again, to make sure you're not getting it to early or too late i recommend tapping the button for two inputs, and hitting S asap because when you miss it, it will almost always be due to being too late or missing your motion. Using pad makes these more complicated inputs significantly harder and slower than they would be on a joystick, maybe you should look into making the switch ;). If you're still having trouble with it, look at how you're messing it up, that will be the best clue as to how to fix your input. Turn on training mode input display and make sure you're hitting everything you're trying to hit.

just keep practicing, the inputs that HM wrote in the guide do work. you have to make sure you do the directional inputs correctly, and then you have to make sure that you aren't inputting the attack button too early or too late.

for iad.tatami, inputting the attack button too early gives you just an iad.; too late gives you an iad.j.K.

for TK YZS, too early gives you a superjump; too late gives you sj.S.

from my experience, i think it's important to note that you don't have to input the directions and attack button as quickly as you may think (especially compared to TK YZS in #R). for iad. tatami, the pace at which you run your thumb along 2369, then release, then tap 6 + K, is "even": not too leisurely, but not frantic. for TK YZS, it feels like you have a lot of time to do the DP motion on the ground, then slide your thumb to 8 or 9 and hit S. (i mean, the time between 623 and 9+S is "long"; not the time between 9 and S, that's short).

actually, with TK YZS, when I do it the 623(6)9+S way, I have enough time during the entire input string to vary the height at which the YZS comes out, because I can vary how quickly I input the directions (up until whatever amount of time causes the game to "forget" your last input).

also, for TK YZS, do whatever feels best for you. there are a few ways to do it, too. (imho it's worth learning how to do it each way.)

well I play on pad and i find this way smoother or easier to do back IAD tatmai: 74*236K. cuz' I don't think that there is a faster reverse IAD tatami. * the input is actually simple no shortcuts to it, but do it fast. Its not hard for your thumb to just flow through, cuz' it has a more natural feel to it(well i dont know if thats comprehensible or not ;p but try train and you'll get it eventually)

doing 754236k isn't difficult to get a fastest iad back tatami since you can go from 4 around to 236 much more smoothly than from 6 when doing iad forward tatami.

Exception to the rule: input is impossible on Spidey's stick.
