HELP WANTED- Personal Tutors

Recommended Posts

So for the most part this thread is for people who are willing to teach and for beginners who want to learn. If you're like me and already tried to learn the game on your own and you're having no luck. Having a personal tutor might be what you need. I had a teacher in a pervious game I played and it helped me immensely. I'm asking the players who are extremely knowledgeable of the game to use their time. In order to help players who need a little extra attention and one on one time.

For the most part this is how I want this to work. If you're a tutor post your resume pretty much say how you're willing to add and help anybody who really wants it and needs it. Bragg about how long you played, how you been in tournaments, how you helped the community etc.

For beginners if you're interested and what you see send them a message and go over how you two are going to train together. Maybe you two live in the same area and can get together just some ideas. For beginners who want to make a post pretty much put yourself out there. Say what you need help in, who you play, etc. Tutors if you want to help this fellow player send them a message letting them know.

That's pretty much it hope this helps somebody out there and I hope players will participate.

I know that many players will gladly answer questions on twitter etc.

It might be even better since it doesn't pose any sort of commitment so more people will be willing to do it.

sounds like a pretty good idea if your only looking to get a question answered. I do see commitment being an issue or more so a concern. Even though it shouldn't because this is something the person wants to do so they should already be committed. Thank you for contributing to the thread with your idea keep them coming =^_^=

I think this is probably a good idea now that CP has all these netplay options that assist with this kind of thing (online training mode, sharing replays, etc.). But I don't have CP, so I'm out. :P

Question though for anyone who has used the replay lobby function in CP, does only the 'owner' of the replay have control over playback (pause, etc) or does 'everyone'? Also, can other people save the replay after viewing?

I am not sure if the other people in the room can pause or unpause, but they can save the replay for themselves. The game autosaves viewed replays by default.

Well, step in the right direction anyway. I would think that overall you'd want to be able to have others control it too, so that someone can say "So right here! This is when..."

This would be the greatest. I really want to get into blazblue more then casually every now and then.

A mentor would be awesome.

Yeah I have a mentor who's skill level is far higher than mine. His way of teaching me is keeping me in a corner with combos that I could probably not get out of until I find the way out.

Hello all. I'm new to this forum, but I've made use of the helpful wikis here for a little while. I've been playing BlazBlue CP for some time now, and I could really use someone to help me become a respectable player. Honestly I consider myself to be bad at fighting games, but I'm really sick of getting my ass beat even though I put in a good amount of time practicing. My main is definitely Mu-12, but I have recently wanted to mess around with Hazama and Bang. I wouldn't consider maining Bang, I just find him fun to use, but I might consider maining Hazama. If anyone is willing to help rescue a noob I'd be very grateful. I have access to a headset and can play online so as long as you can get online we should be able to practice together. Thanks in advance guys.

Is this when I put in my stock comment about "This should be in beginner mode, also, if you are looking for sparring partners/tutors/rivals/whatever, for the love of Bob, post something about your geographic location so you can find someone with a decent connection to you East Bumblepud, Arkansas or wherever the heck you are"?

Thanks for the offer to help. I'll be glad to finally learn how to get better at this game. Mu is especially good to me and from what I can tell she's underplayed. I hope you're prepared to take on a total noob as a student though haha. BlazBlue is the first real fighting game that I've played. Anyway I'll send you a pm later tonight. Thanks again.

Hello friends and fighters alike. I've been playing fighting games competitively for roughly three years now ranging from Capcom to ArcSys and I'd love to be of help to anyone who needs it. I took 9th in an SF4 tournament of 63, as well as regularly place high in online BlazBlue matches, so I consider myself enough to be a teacher. I'm in the PST timezone and at the moment in school, but I'm sure we can work out a schedule that fits us both for the bettering of your inner fighter. PM me if interested in learning

Hi, I've been trying to play Blazblue competitively for almost a year now I think and I have gotten a little better since I've first started but I want to improve I love this game but the loosing streak is killing me. I main Jin and have been focusing on him the most but I feel I'm not really that great with him so I want to improve there. I've practice with some Terumi as well but a friend said that maybe I should use Nu or Mu as a sub because of the way I fight (I'm leaning on Nu so far). Also trying to get an arcade stick kind of tired of using a controller to fight with these hands haha.

I can only kind of play on weekends and holidays because of school D: . Any help I can get would be sweet! I would love to go to a competition one day so I'll train when I can. My skype is Walt1146 and my PSN is AraragiTheVamp.

Tell your friend to sod off;  While it's theoretically possible for a character to hold you back, it's virtually impossible at early levels of play, and in any event, Jin is absolutely not causing your problems.  Do NOT under any circumstances change characters to try to get past this, you will only make it worse.

Also, if you want someone to help you with actual games, you need to at least tell us what time zone you're in. :P

I would highly appreciate some help with Kokonoe if anyone around here knows her well.

@AragiTheVamp: I highly recommend you stay away from mu as she's going to be getting major nerfs in 2.0. Nu on the other hand will be top-tier.
