P4A PSN Tournament: Turkey Special: Who's Gonna Be The Turkey This Year? (December 1, 2013 @ 3pm EST)

Recommended Posts

What's up, guys! Looks like ya'll going to be fighting for who gets to be the turkey this year...and a amazon gift card (yeah, I kinda care about you guys LOL):

2/3 Matches

2/3 Rounds

WF, LF, GF: 3/5 Matches

Mitsuru and Yukiko Stage only (might have to start enforcing this)

Character Change allowed only on new sets or lose round

DO NOT ENTER IF:

- You live in another country that's not NA

- You generally have a terrible connection (preferably 2 bars and up, 1 bar depending on quality)

Prize for 1st: $20 Amazon Gift Card for Cyber Monday

What I would need:

- Someone with a good connection to host the lobby for the duration of the tournament so lag can be reduced as much as possible

- 2 Commentators who are respectful to all competitors and has decent knowledge if how the game works (if omecross and Bace isn't available)

- 2 to 3 who can mod stream chat so bots, potential trolls can be taken care of and to prevent unnecessary arguments from erupting.

As usual, this will be streamed at www.twitch.tv/token and matches will be uploaded to www.youtube.com/mastatoken

If interested in joining, please comment with your PSN, location, and timezone

Entrants as of 11/4/13:

1) RenaTurnip

2) Martian Buddy - JediCommando19

3) AchedSphinx - p4uplayer

4) Wild Candy - BrokenStar96

5) Bloo561

You know this turnip will be there in a heartbeat to go 0-2 again. *salutes*

More randomly, I've been wondering about the dynamic of a 2v2 tournament or something. Is that a huge hassle to set up and maintain, or does it take too long to do in one sitting, or? I know after last time you guys probably don't want to spend the entire day streaming and commentating, so. I'm just kinda curious about the idea in general, I think.

It's something that was tried in the past but didn't really do too well due to low entrants (had a lot at first but as usual, people sign up for things then opt out at the last minute)

D:

Don't worry about the prize ;~; You're more important. That's the worst kind of news. I hope it doesn't cause too huge issues for you.

Sorry to hear about your current situation, Token. That's a damn shame and I pray for the best in your regards.

Anyways, unless I find out otherwise, I should be good for this.

No worries, I couldn't care less about a prize. Just try and find another job, that's more important.

If this tourney gets more than 16 people, I'll provide a prize. If that's ok with token

Here's a few changes:

1) Since I've obtained a new job and seems that I'll be there for a while (making rich white people happy with clean dishes), this requires me to work weekends now. For this tournament, I'll be pushing it back to Sunday, December 1st @3pm. In the future, I will only be able to plan tournaments a week in advance at most since I won't know when I have off until the Friday before so it could be possible that a tournament may not happen that month or it'll be on a different day. We'll see how this goes when the times comes.

2) As you all know, I've been streaming from Twitch for quite some time now ans we've been through a few hiccups here and there (sometimes with chat not even working or stream randomly dropping). So, I've discovered this new streaming site today through a reddit fourm called hitbox.tv . After messing with it for a bit, I actually like this site a lot with the simply layout and godsend dashboard so for this tournament, I'll be streaming from here (http://www.hitbox.tv/MastaToken) and we'll see how it goes. If it goes bad, I'll just switch back to Twitch next month.

If this tourney gets more than 16 people, I'll provide a prize. If that's ok with token

That's fine.

Sorry about this, but I had stuff crop up that weekend involving family, so I have no choice but to drop out. Very sorry.

December 1 is like the best news you could have ever told me for this, truth be told. That basically resolves any work hiccups for me, certain Internet issues, and just plain gives me more time. I'm very thankful for these circumstances, personally :c

Also, I'm glad you have work again, Token D: That's really good news.
