Oniros

+R patch finally out for NA PSN

Recommended Posts

Still worth buying twice in my book...my xbox net is dead in my room. Playing plus R is fun so I say this is a good trade off for waiting...now to wait for my birthday tomorrow

Sharing this, since it made me feel like an idiot.

I got the update, but only had the same old version of the game~ turned out I had to go to options > game settings > version, and manually change it to see the update.

I was getting upset too. lol

I guess Mori brought the patch on a flash drive when he came to the US

How good is the netcode compared to the Jp version ?

For anyone who cares, works in Canada too.

@kingofhearts, it's about the same, but I only played VR Raiden so far. It's pretty playable honestly, could be better, but nevertheless playable.

It is here. It's late, but its here. :toot:

What you did there, I see it.:kitty:

well hey, when the time comes though blade...Coconuts versus dandy step. Let's see who's got the betterskills :>

That and I wanna see if Kliff's little dodge move can dodge stun edge. :P

Wait you main Slayer but sub Kliff? And where do you live? I rather not have lag put me *under pressure* to perform :kitty:

EDIT: AD 2172 and ABA Slash stage still freeze on the ps3 version, it just takes longer for them to freeze now :(

This makes me very sad...

The root of the freeze is likely more deep than you guys think it is. Myself, my console has never frozen, however my friends has frozen and not only on those stages. I would not be shocked if there were an underlying issue somewhere.

You should've learned by now I main slayer. Kliff I use when I'm screwing around.

And again... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

And I did hear about freezing for those stages, not sure if it affected the 360 version though since I had little trouble with them

Finally! Pity the online is still ass though. Had one match against someone only 30 miles away and it was a laggy mess :( Oh well, still happy +R is here!

Even if the online is nothing to write home about, I still notice some improvements over vanilla AC. For example, lobbies don't get deleted automatically after a match.

It's playable, and that is by itself a great improvement from vanilla I think. The netcode could definitely be better, but alas, at least we can play with locals now.

I'm really enjoying +R Sol personally. Fafnir is such a delicious thing now, not nearly as useless as it used to be. No more 5HS into nothing!

The Xbox 360 is *the sole survivor* of these stage issues. It never had them, though granted I haven't tested to stages after I downloaded the ACR patch, but I doubt there'd be any issue. It's the leader boards that the issue on the 360, not the stages.

@9tnine, that's interesting, I never looked at it that way because unlike PC's I always assumed pretty much any console in a product line were all the same, I would've never imagined that the same game could affect different consoles of the same model.

Also Kliff makes me a sad panda, I secretly hope he doesn't make it to Xrd still...

not sure if versions matter or not, but I have jp version and tried to play with chrome homura with a 3 connection but the game literally just lagged harder than anything i've seen before....so i still believe the netcode is utter garbage

^People still cry "netcode"? Firstly, where do you live man? Sure, the game said it was 3 bars but there's still distance to fight through. Second, there's also the fact that connection quality that has to be good on both ends. I have comcast, but I'm playing wireless with an old router... I.E my opponent's setup is probably gonna have to pick up the slack. If yours is anything less than rock solid, you'd better believe it's gonna give you trouble.

norcal, and having tried the netplay when jp patch was released in august it hasn't really changed against 1-4 connections compared to what i got against the us patched players, but that's the first time i've seen the game just flat out slow down

4s are playable for the most part, 3s input delay is definitely noticeable, and 1-2s are pretty awful from my experiences
