What would be a good stick for an aspiring guilty gear player

Recommended Posts

I'm an aspiring guilty gear player (as it says in the title), and I'm wondering if a stick would do me better than a pad/keyboard.

I want myself to be able to move my hands and fingers around so they aren't just sitting there, and I want to be sure that when I push 3 or more buttons (i.e RC, FRC), that it registers.

I'm sure there are 1000s of threads on this already, but I can't decide which.(honestly! :psyduck:)

I really like my Qanba q4raf, since it's usable on Xbox360 and PS3 without any meddling.

It comes with Sanwa parts. Was also really easy to swap them out for my Seimitsus, since the interior is very tidy. Just some screws to loose on the bottom.

Also: felt bottom = comfy :3

I highly suggest a Qanba as well, they feel great to use and have a nice usb compartment built in, its a little more expensive then a TE but I still would suggest it cause modding a TE is extra work and money. If your the kind of player where your hands are a little more wild with execution, I would suggest the fusion models cause the Q4 models have the start button pretty close to the main 8 buttons.

I would say getting an arcade sticks that are dual mod is a must. Eightarc.com have good arcade sticks including the Qanba. I personally like using Korean arcade sticks.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Also, if I were to get a fight stick, what would be easiest to mod? (I'm not that hardware savvy, so I'd have a hard time knowing what's what  :psyduck:) And are Sanwa and/or Seimitsu parts expensive? If so/if not, where can I buy/order them?

depends what kind of mod do you want,

Dual mod
LED mod

Art Mod

Parts mod

or just something in combination with all those

Just get yourself a TE since there are so many after market products for it
