Kurushii Report post Posted November 20, 2012 (edited) THIS THREAD IS FOR BBCP NEW POSTINGS ONLY, NOT DISCUSSION. IF YOU POST ANYTHING NON-INFO YOU WILL BE INFRACTED. Don't post non-BBCP related news like that BB manga, Xblaze, or the 3DS game! Release Dates Japan (Arcade): 11/21/2012 Japan (Console): 10/24/2013 USA (Console): Unknown General Info This is the third full game in the BlazBlue series and it introduced some system changes compared to the Continuum Shift games:Bursts now regenerate instead of preset number of bursts per match like in Continuum Shift. Using Break Burst completely depletes the OD gauge. Startup is faster.Gold Burst replaced with Overdrive. Overdrive can be used with A+B+C+D when not blocking or taking damage. Temporarily powers up certain abilities. While activated, the timer countdown is stopped, and DDs have altered animations and properties. OD duration is inversely proportional to health, and canceling into OD activation reduces the active duration. After use, 3/4 of the OD gauge is depeleted and the OD icon becomes unusable. The OD gauge recovers with time, and OD can again be used once it has fully recovered. The OD icon starts as usable in Round 1, and carries over to successive rounds without recovering. Some characters like Ragna and Bang have had their supers (Blood Kain and Fu-Rin-Ka-Zan) replaced as their Overdrive.Combos done while in Overdrive are un-burstable.Guard Primers removed, replaced with Crush Trigger. Press 5A+B to perform an attack that can break your opponent's guard unless they're using Barrier. On Barrier Block, a large portion of the Barrier Gauge is drained, and the attacker can charge the Crush Trigger to drain more of the Barrier Gauge. Amount of barrier gauge depeleted varies between characters. Crush Triggers costs 25% Heat.Hitstop has been lessened and combos are intended to be shorter/faster.All characters have new moves, and many have had their existing moves changed.Air/Ground teching is now done by holding A/B/C input (like P4U) instead of mashing it.Repeat proration is more severe, and "same attack combo" appears on the screen when repeat proration is applied. Starter affects the amount of time you have to combo with.Astral Heat (AH) conditions changed.Stylish Mode controls changed. Six new characters have been announced so far: [*]Amane: A man dressed in a pink kimono and scarf seeking to add Carl to his traveling troupe. His drive attacks turn his scarf into a drill, into which he can use to attack his opponent from long range. Heavily implied in the command list that there is a level system with it. [*]Bullet: A mercenary with golden gauntlets who has a past with Sector Seven. Bullet's drive attacks allow her to quickly teleport to the opponent and strike them, provided that she is close enough to the opponent. She plays like a rushdown-grappler hybrid. [*]Azrael: A man who works with Sector Seven. Azrael's drive attacks reveal weak points on the opponent when he hits the opponent. Hitting a weak point gives his attacks special properties, like wallbounce, unblockable, etc. The weakpoint disappears after hitting it, but can be reapplied in the same combo. [*]Izayoi: Tsubaki Yayoi awakening the power sealed within her weapon (which is named Izayoi). [*]Yuuki Terumi: Hazama's true identity. Hazama is an alias Terumi uses to act covertly in the world. Terumi's Drive allows him to easily gain meter, which he needs to perform his various supers. In fact, he has more supers than specials! [*]Kagura Mutsuki: Leader of the Mutsuki family of the Duodecim. He wields a large sword and intends to start a revolt against the Imperator. Kagura's Drive allows him to change stances which gives him different special attacks and is primarily a charge character. Noel's costume has been changed. She no longer wears the NOL uniform and hat like in the previous games. [*]Nu and Mu have both been added for the game. Nu will be able to switch between two modes in the middle of a fight. Players can see which mode she is in by looking for a halo above her head. Questions? Ask in here. Please read the rules at the start of the thread before posting in it. Jackie Chandler Report post Posted June 12, 2013 (edited) U.S. version of Chrono Phantasma confirmed for 2014 by Aksys. http://www.aksysgames.com/2013/06/11/blazblue-chrono-phantasma-enters-the-us/ Perhaps more interestingly, one line of info reads "Chrono Phantasma will introduce five new characters and two new downloadable characters, bringing the roster list to 26!" Considering we only know that Terumi is DLC so far, that would imply there's one more character that will come as DLC that we don't know about yet. EDIT: Fix'd. Sorry for the mistake. SoWL Report post Posted June 20, 2013 (edited) Reposting it here so people don't have to trudge through the general thread (and to fix a nasty translation error on my part): http://www.famitsu.com/news/201306/20035228.html Yuuki Terumi CV: Nakamura Yuuichi Conditions of use: 1) Download code (pre-order bonus) 2) DLC purchase (price and date TBA) Battle style: Out of all characters, Terumi got the greatest amount of Distortion Drives. He constantly switches between draining his opponent's Heat gauge with Force Eater and delivering flashy Distortion Drives. Drive: "Force Eater" To perform Distortion Drives (super moves), Heat gauge is required. By using his "Force Eater" gauge, Terumi can drain his opponent's Heat gauge on hit or block. Part one of Distortion Drives revealed! Jakyou Messenga A Distortion Drive that makes Terumi rush forward with the aura of a gigantic snake. Can be used either as a combo ender or as a surprise attack from a distance. Gouga Soutenjin Similar to Hazama's "Houtenjin" attack, this is a move that kicks your opponent high upwards. Use this move's invulnerability to interrupt the enemy's attacks! Jabaku Fuuenjin This move can be activated if you have more than 50% of Heat gauge, spending all of it. The more Heat you have, the more damage it deals. Jarin Renshouga After grabbing the opponent, they are slammed into the ground with the image of a great serpent. This move requires 100% of the Heat gauge to be activated. - His dash is a regular running one, not a Hazama-like step. - Has an OTG special move called Garengeki that can be comboed from in a corner. Kick them while they're squirming on the ground! - His OD, Nightmare Reaper, simply improves the strength of his Drive and DDs. The Drive also drains more meter in OD. EDIT: And the Kagura stuff too, for good measure: http://www.famitsu.com/news/201305/30033990.html http://www.famitsu.com/news/201306/04034213.html Kagura's playstyle: charge while blocking, attack with the Drive! Kagura is the very first dedicated charge character of the series. His playstyle consists of using his long-ranged normal moves with his large sword and making a good use out of his excellent special moves. His special "Drive" ability is a stance called Black Gale. Since there are multiple different stances that each have multiple different follow-ups, it's very easy to catch the opponent off-guard over and over again. - The Stance (Drive button) Follow-up moves from the stance (Drive button) - Ryuugekisou (Dragon Halberd Claw) - Toryuurenzan (Slaughter Dragon Ream Cut) - Ryuuhashou (Dragon Break Punch) Distortion Drive "Ryuuha: Gokuenjin" (Dragon Tyrant: Prison Flame Dust) A super-move that sends a wave of jet-black flame. Its enhanced Overdrive version deals more hits and more damage. Kagura Mutsuki's story mode The person on the left is a brand-new character, Hibiki Kohaku. He always aids Kagura as his personal assistant. Though he occasionally scolds Kagura for lazing off sometimes, he still respects him a lot. - They didn't show Kagura's fourth stance, j.D. Makes sense that he has it, but a bit difficult to imagine. - Ryuugekisou is a command grab follow-up. - Toryuurenzan is just a multi-hit follow-up. - Ryuuhashou has a guard point (this is probably why they said he can use his sword as a shield). - The projectile is called "Ryuubakusen" (Dragon Tie Spin). There are versions with different sizes and numbers of shots. 6D: this stance's follow-ups let you approach the enemy with various attacks, though some of them are meant for other purposes. 2D: has follow-ups that are meant to break through the opponent's guard, such as an overhead attack and a low attack. Yukikaze Report post Posted June 21, 2013 (edited) JD has been shown... it looks like 5D stance but in the air. These new interviews are full of contradictions... only 2 stances no DLC Give us real info Edited June 21, 2013 by Yukikaze
SoWL Report post Posted July 27, 2013 Reposting the Terumi translations here again so it doesn't get lost in the main thread. Dash is about as fast as Ragna's? Also accelerates after a while. Air dash is also pretty fast. The specials can all be DD-canceled. 5A, 2A, j.A, 5B, 2B - same as Hazama's. 6A - a diagonal knife slash. An anti-air. 6B - a roundhouse kick. j.B - the animation is similar to Hazama's, but deals 2 hits. 5C - a jumping kick followed by a dropkick. A 2-hit move that can be jump-canceled after the first one. 2C - Terumi twirls his knife at their feet. Doesn't knock down. 6C - a three-hit knife slash after a dash. Can't be special canceled? Can be DD-canceled. 3C - a low kick. Obviously knocks down. j.C - the animation is similar to Hazama's, but only deals 2 hits. 5D - has Jabaki's animation, gets 15% Heat. 2D - summons Uroboros from the ground behind the opponent, staggers on hit. Maybe you can combo 3C into 2D? 6D - after kicking them once, Terumi kicks them again in a wild dance-like motion. j.D - attacks diagonally downward. Ground-bounces. j.2D - has a Ressenga-like animation, ground-bounces. Can be used for cross-ups. Jagaku (236D) - slams them with Uroboros after a rush. Recovers about 25% Heat. Gasenshou (214D) - a command grab. Recovers about 30% Heat. Garengeki (22C) - kicks them OTG. Can be mashed. Jakyou Messenga (41236C) - the charge super. Can be followed up, though it's not exactly clear how. Can be done in midair, the charge is then performed diagonally downwards. Gouga Soutenjin (623B) - can be used in the same cases as Houtenjin. Can be done in midair. Orochi Burensen (63214B) - a bigger version of Orochi? Causes wall-slam. Ouja Zanrouga (236236A) - a counter-move. Can't really see it, since the start-up animation resembles walking? Deals about 3200 damage. Jabaku Fuuenjin (632146D) - locks them in the animation on hit. Deals from about 2500 damage with 50% Heat to 4600 with 100% Heat (6100 with OD). Jarin Renshouga (236236D) - deals about 4594 damage raw, 5800 with OD. May not hit them if they're too close? CT - has Zaneiga-like animation, but without the special effects. The range is short, but other than that, it feels about the same on hit. CA - has 6A's animation. Might not hit crouching opponents.
