Additional Infomation

Accomodation
There is this really decent Hostel I have found

Its 45 minutes from the event venue
It seems fairly cheap, for now it looks like around 30 pounds a night
If you book as a group of 10 or more you can get 10% off! Find players to group with
It has a free breakfast buffet
If you can afford to pay more there are proper hotels closer to the venue

Flying in
There are 4 main airports you can go to:-

Stanstead:
This is really far away from London itself but it is GENERALLY the cheapest way to get to London.

Once you get to Stanstead you can book a coach or a train to get into London.
Check these for ways to get to London

http://www.easybus.co.uk/
http://www.nationalexpress.com/
https://www.stanstedexpress.com/

Trains are faster but generally more expensive

Heathrow:
The main airport people go to, when you get to heathrow you can actually get on the London tube network and go straight into London. (Picadilly Line)

London City Airport:
This is an airport thats actually in London. Its a bit more expensive but also check this airport as an option since its used alot less often

London Gatwick Airport:
Another airport to try, I have no idea about this airport though

Travelling
Just a few heads up for people travelling in, theres some things you MUST DO

1. Please Mind the Gap
2. Get an oyster card, if you do not, you will be paying extortionate prices to get around London
3. Please Mind the Gap

Other Info
If you have any questions you can ask me at @FrostyBolty on twitter, @Rayokarna on twitter, or @Zakonestar
I hope to see loads of players (especially for Arcana Heart 3 Love Max woohoo) and let us have a good time!

Depends on the airport. Heathrow and London City Airport, yes, you can. Gatwick, no, you'll have to get a regular ticket to get into London.

Since I'm moving to the UK in September, I guess I can safely say that I'll be there. I'm mostly interested in GG (I'm fine playing +R too if Xrd won't be available yet) and potentially UNIEL.

Consider me interested. Assuming no issues arise between now and then, I should be able to make it to this one.
I'll be in for GGXrd (or GGXXAC+R if that happens instead), BBCP and JoJo ASB.

i'll prob come play p4a2/gg+r/uniel if i have a friend in town or someone is willing to lend me a couch.  30 pounds a night is a lot vs my $ to play in games that from the monthlies, i presume UK isn't really into

also it seems xrd is pretty sure not to be out by then

Revolution Update! 23/08/14

So there hasn't been updates recently. So I'm gonna add some info for Revolution in November!

1. Since Xrd is not going to be released by the time Revolution happens, it will not be there ;-;. We should have at least ONE GGAC+R Setup available if anybody wants to play that

2. Online signups will be closed on October, if you want to enter it would be best to signup before Oct -Here-

3. We have international interest! You can check the signup list -Here-

4. Some of the rules have been updated, mainly now that P4A2 is guaranteed now and Xrd did not make it. Also the timetable has been altered. Here it is!

Hope to see you guys there! If there are any questions, you can find me on twitter at @FrostyBolty or you can email Nthgeninteractive@hotmail.co.uk

So I saw the playerlist and there are a bunch of international attendants.  Below are a request and a suggestion

-Would anyone be willing to split a room somewhere?  Further, would the out of towners generally be willing to coordinate to stay at the same place?  We could probably get a better value than the hostels listed, which are quite expensive, by splitting cheap hotel rooms.  I realize a lot of you guys are coming with friends from your country, so I'm also kinda asking if I can integrate with you guys as I'm coming alone.  As written below, coordinating the out of towners in the same cheap hotel would also allow an after-party/casuals.

-If this thread isn't a place that attendants are really looking at (since there's a dedicated website and most of you are locals) can we get some kind of dedicated correspondance going for forming up groups to save money on board?  If we could coordinate people staying in the same place I'd also be down to try and get some setups + casuals going after the event at a hotel, at the expense of bringing some stuff from Poland.  Of course that'd also mean locals could join up and play more somewhere after the event.  For all intents and purposes I'd say we desperate EU anime games are flying to London to binge-game, so why stop at 22:00!?

The nature of EU events feels pretty different from US (where I'm from) because they're not at hotels and everyone seems to just go home at night.  It'd be nice to hang out more and have something to do besides just the daytime tourney if I'm planning fly to London and pay (the most I've ever heard of someone paying for a hostel) to sleep there.  I'm used to half the fun of tournies being after the tourney!   Of course after writing all that, I realized that since I don't play BB, I might not really have that many people to play with anyway depending on the popularity of UNIEL/P4/GG.  So uh, I'd like to ask how UNIEL is doing in UK to reevaluate my reason for being there lol.

Hi Generic

Most people who are going have already decided how their doing the rooms, you could try to join somebodies room but I am not sure how strict these UK Hotels are. (3 man room having 7 people etc). Also what normally happens is after an event, groups of people go out together to say, Central London and just eat together then head back to sleep. I will spread your post around in case somebody is interested in sharing a room with you, and you guys can play games together. If you need a monitor I can let you take one of my ones and you just bring it back for the sunday

TBH If I could find a Hotel to do it in, that is REASONABLY priced, I would. Its so much easier but the venue fee is true terror. Your looking at easily 2000 pounds a ~DAY~ for a venue to hold 300 people. I am looking though if we do another event at some point in the future

UNIELs health in the UK? hmm....I'm not sure how it's doing I stopped following it

Most of the budget hotels in London seem to only have small, 2-3 person rooms. They would not be a suitable location for post-event casuals (simply no space in these rooms).

The only viable solutions would be to get a bigger room at a more expensive hotel for late night casuals / drinking, or at someones place nearby.

I'm sure there will be plenty of players for the games you mentioned though, at the very least I play them.

I would be a lot more interested in a paid GGXXAC+R tourney than a free one even if it would negatively affect numbers, i suspect me and anyone else who still has any real competitive interest in the game would prob think the same

Totally agreed.

Actually I'm only interested in playing the GG tourney (since after trying UNIEL I just can't get to like the game as much as I thought I would), so I don't mind paying for the GG tournament.

Hard to say. For starters, we don't have many events, and even when we do, they're usually like 20-25 man events, so not many. It's one of the reasons why this major exists. UNIEL is my main game, but a lot of people only play it as a side game in the UK. You'll be able to fight people, but I can't guarantee it would be at as of a high level as you would like or expect. Ofc, that's assuming you want to get really good at it. If you just want to have fun playing UNIEL offline, then you won't have problems with that.

Any news regarding GG? Else I don't think I'll be interested in taking part to this anymore (I might just come and watch as a spectator at most).

Well Xrd isn't happening for obvious reasons

Would not mind putting up a free GGAC+R tournament

I would definetely be ok with this, seeing as I am not playing BB anymore and I couldn't get hooked on UNIEL either. :V

And even if there's no GG tournament whatsoever I guess I might still show up just to meet the rest of the UK/London ArcSys group which I still have to meet. The location is like one tube stop away from where I live anyway.
