Full Boost/Maxi Boost wants/returns/hopes?, thread

Ok so, been away for a while and forgot to come back and check dustloop, life got busy or other things going on ect.

So it was a thing I discussed with Kirrin, Brett and others on Fuwacast as a simple thing of wants/hopes for units(new or returning)

So with most of the stuff between Full Boost or Maxi Boost lately (Hyperion, Dreadnaught and Blitz)
My list is slowly growing shorter but here is my list.

 

Akatsuki(with both packs, like it was in Gundam vs Gundam NEXT)
Nobel
Sandrock(TV version prefered)
Sword Calamity

 

Because in a way even my request of Strike Rouge Ootori was answered(someone from Bamco must've been reading my mind lol)

So what are yours?

My wishlist, in order:

 

1. A western release

2. A western release on Steam ^_^

3. A bunch of units

 

The roster has gotten surprisingly good. I too would prefer there not to be so many obvious duplicates (Lacus IJ? Really?) but that's okay so long as they keep adding fan favorites. Suits I'd like to see:

 

[uC] Shin Matsunaga's Zeta 3B ("Buster") / Vigna Ghina II Giri type

[X] Virsago (not CB) + Ashtaron (not HC) double unit / Bertigo (go go Caris!)

[AGE] AGE 2 Darkhound / Legilis

[Destiny] Akatsuki (Mwu) / Waltfeld's Gaia retooled into a quadroped-mode powerhouse

[W] Wing Gundam (TV design using Katoki MG proportions)

[EW] Sandrock (I actually really love Sandrock EW early type, but that'll never happen.)

 

Hope this thread stays open, I'd love to see what other people want.

 

[Edit] I can't believe I forgot to mention this, I guess I did because it seems so unlikely. I have this weird desire to see Metal Armor Dragonar someday recognized as part of the Gundam library, and not just as a failed reboot. It's a shame that the series is almost completely neglected just because its lacks that all-important capital G in the title, as it was basically an alternate universe Gundam show before those were a thing. What better way to induct it into the Gundam multiverse than by including a few units in the Versus series? (Yes it's been included in SRW and ACE before, but that means nothing as those cross over lots of properties.)

 

That said, for sentimental reasons, my most desired units are:

 

Dragonar-1 Custom (with Units 2 and 3 as assists)

Falguen MAFFU (with the Gelf squad as assists)

And... nothing from the desert arc. That was a serious low point (and like a third of the show! The rest was awesome though...)

Things that could maybe happen

• Kampfer. I'll settle for either original MS-18E or GBF Kampfer Amazing
• Gundam Maxter

 

That's...it for me I think, since Altron and Banshee Norn are on the way. Also knowing that Shining Gundam eventually is supposed to make an appearance.

 

Beyond those wants, things that I still see at least possible: if Maxter got brought in I think it would have the door open for Rose and Bolt to round out the Shuffle Alliance one day (or vice-versa). Rose as a melee-centric suit that also has funnels could be an interesting play. Sandrock I know there's a lot of demand for, at least in the West. I personally don't care so much for Sandrock, but if TV Sandrock meant that TV Heavyarms could be brought in - a return of 2k Heavyarms but also with its combat knife or Wing's Beam Saber for CQC (like Cherudim vs Dynamas differences) - that I'd be rather interested in. In the same vein, I would have rather had Seravee or Virtue a hundred times more than Raphael.

 

Things that are unlikely to happen

• Full Armor Unicorn get released as DLC before MB comes to console.
• Pack-Swap combos to be more a part of Strike's combat, and for them to actually be rewarding for the effort. Even if it just got the Impulse treatment of being able to immediately fire Launcher A from any form or directly switch to Sword and attack from Launcher would go a long way in that regard.
• Less SEED/AC more UC :P But I recognize it's easier to pull stuff from AC series without having to dig or be extra creative about ideas for implementation. But please...give SEED a rest for a while moving forward...

 

Things that will never happen/Things I wish had been done differently

• For them to undo the ridiculous MB reversion of GP01Fb back to Zephyranthes mode first before being able to be Full Vernien. Why kill what was one of the funnest and most successful updates from EXVS, Bamco???
• Unicorn's NT-D to get the 00-Raiser treatment - available from start, cancel anytime
• Alex having been a 2k suit (consider: the NT-1 was built superior to the RX-78) and given more viable ranged play.
• Just SOME implementation of Mk II - of the three that there are now - to have been 2k and not revolve around Super Gundam cooldown. A Mk II closer to what is in Gundam Dynasty Warriors.
• There's a few suits actually besides Mk II that I wish had had some of their melee pulled from GDW. ZZ, Nu, V2 off the top of my head.
• V-Dash Victory, or at least for Victory to have had V-Dash as a CD instead of EX mode only.
• GP03S to have been BR based, but it's just griping to continue talking about that. Also having [bC] be ammo-based feels lame to me :/

@akai: I think in fairness they've almost exhausted the Cosmic Era well of MSes/Gundams they can utilize.
I mean hell I was surprised Bltiz came back all of a sudden.
The ONLY thing left I can think of would be Saviour Gundam.
In Alliance vs ZAFT series, that unit was awesome to play as.

 

Kampfer is a nice idea, give 0080 a little more something again.

I for a while now have been quietly holding the belief that Bolinoak, Palace Athene, and Byalant are suits they're holding in their pocket I guess for a rainy day, considering they're already in the game as CPU adversaries and even have trophies already in for the FB missions. Also, what's the gold one, Akatsuki?

 

Actually I'm kinda really surprised the 2500 Gold Frame is being added before Akatsuki makes a return from the PSP game. Plus Blitz, Dreadnoght, Strike Ootori...I figured for a while Akatsuki would be the next SEED unit added to the series and soon FOUR units will have been added that weren't it XD

Maybe they are kinda scared of the possibilities Akatsuki could wreak havoc on battlefields.

Since his beam reflection gimmicks would turn alot of attacks on some players anyways.

And yeah you remembered right, from SEED Destiny, the gold MS, which I like more then Hyaku Shiki personally.

The entire Shuffle Alliance, that is all. MB pretty much has all my favorite units in gundam history so I have nothing else to fight for.

moebius zero 1k would be awesome. AB controls top and bottom gunbarrel movement, AC left and right, BC for some sort of self defense assist, B fires gunbarrels. a more complicated/precise version of zeong/rozen with less emphasis on being super safe and more emphasis on using ranged firepower precisely.

 

geymalk 3k. BC like sazabi/DX, funnels, may have some attacks similar to gerbera A or gottrlatan AB, possibly super armored tackle, possibly qubeley/zaku3 presure.

 

gadessa could be like a 2.5k version of gunnerzaku, perhaps with different/more assists/better melee to make up the bulk of the cost difference and perhaps to make up for not having a good super like gunnerzaku's.

 

it would be interesting to see a gabthley team(mouar, jerid) as some sort of further experimentation with MA modes and either tag teaming or commandable assists(like sazabi BC etc)

 

vertigo as a 2k or 2.5k analog for red qubeley( in terms of funnel command mode, which would be more useful while someone else is fronting) would be nice.

 

a 2k or 2.5k gunez(assist party/some sort of extra nice punishing tool like gunez's AB-AB-AB) would be delicious. gunblastor? ennil?

 

zoloat 1k just because beam wires could be a nice tool,sort of like a faster but shorter version of blueframe's directable boomerang. similar to a whip as well.

i don't think that's a very good idea, she would pretty much be like x2 in that case of "ranged support who uses armor to stay safe" but with more potential for sudden offense, but we already have wayy more 2ks than anything else and few 1ks. she adds much more to the game as a 1k front. Although, you sort of get what you want with 1ks becoming 1.5ks in MB.

Alex is a 1k because Christina is not a very good pilot. She was just testing it out, it was really meant for Amuro.

Jerid needs a suit, don't care which one he gets (better not be MkII or Hizack tho).

 

Having Dom and Guncannon could be cool, I guess.

 

And if Xi/Penelope could make it in, I don't see why G-Saviour from the novel/games couldn't...As long as it's not the movie ver, I guess.
