214 214 comes out as 214.

Recommended Posts

I have no idea why but whenever I input 214214 D in Chrono Phatasma I end up with a simple 214 attack on the D pad, I've tried in training mode and saw that my input was valid as a perfect 214214D I had heat and everything, but for some reason it simply didn't work, I don't think my timing is off either.

I'm switching Joystick to D-pad but I seem to have this trouble while adjusting, does anyone know why this is happening or better yet how I can stop it? It's bound to be a fatal flaw in many matches if I don't fix this.

You probably pushed the button too early.

21421D4 will often give you 214D.

Try to slow down just a hair. Make sure the stick is all the way at 4 before you push the button.

Look;

Either you're doing the motion wrong, or the game is broken for you and just you.

Try it.  Maybe it'll help.  What are you other options?

Try doing it like this:

214, (one second pause) 214+whatever button you are going to use. That works for me and it might work for you. It's hard to explain but mentally I do a complete rotation of one motion before I do another for supers.

Good luck btw!

Try to explicitly do 214 5 214D really fast

i.e, make it a very clean 2x qcb

also the only explanation if it's really not the actual inputs, like you're insisting, is that you're mistiming the inputs, so just experiment with when you hit D until it works

I'm pretty sure you can get away with adding a :db:  between the two quarter motions. The important part is you hit both  :d: and  :b: directions, or else it won't count.

if you do it too slow it wont come out, but it'd have to be REALLLY slow for that to be the case.

also this is just a guess: if you're playing terumi, the 214214D and the 236236D super needs 100 meter.

This. I know a few friends that this happened to. Got to make sure your inputs are clean and precise. Although, looking at your inputs in training mode helps, It does not tell you the speed of your inputs. To me, You probably were too late inputting D or to early.

I used to have this problem a lot when trying to get BHS with Azrael out of TCL. So much to the point where I would input 3 qcfs out of habit. This probably would just come down to having to wait to input it at the right time and frame; that should fix it. Netplay might be a factor, test some things out.

I went to a friends house yesterday and I was having the same problem, except in Ultimax, I've been stuck on Adachi's challenge 24 for quite sometime and me and him are getting the platinum, so it's the last challenge for the trophy

However, at home I have absolutely positively no problem confirming Magatsu Mandala, or any other super

However, on BOTH his controllers, it's almost as if the D-Pad is too crispy or something, I couldn't confirm Magatsu Mandala more than ONCE and the most I could confirm regularly was 236236 motions, on 214214, I kept getting Scared? instead of Mandala.
