The official Blazblue Japanese website has just posted that Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma will be releasing in arcades on November 21st for the NesicaxLive platform. Only one week to go till release and we all get to see the changes in action. Better go subscribe to Jourdal and Pktazn if you haven't yet for that video goodness when footage starts to drop!

The shocker of today was in this week's issue of Famitsu. A new playable character, Izayoi, was shown which is the true form of Tsubaki Yayoi. Hopefully Arc System Works releases a trailer soon to show her shiny armor off.

The game costs 1500¥ and is available in the Japanese Playstation Network Store. Total file size of the download is 1092mb. As of this article the game isn't showing on the front page of the store. If you search for "guilty" you'll find it. If you need JP PSN cards to purchase it then we recommend checking out http://www.japan-codes.com/ or http://www.play-asia.com/ to buy digital codes.

If you are worried of the language barrier in the JP release don't be. Main menu, majority of the Options menu, Button Config, and Training Mode menu is all in English.

If you'd like to learn more about Guilty Gear's mechanics check out the wiki.

As you may or may not know, Persona 4: Arena is set to get a balance patch sometime at the end of May. ASW have released official patch notes as well as changes to the characters themselves. Translations of the changes courtesy of Dakanya. (This post will be updated as more changes come in)

Credits go to DevilTrigger and Dakanya for this. So it finally got revealed that the rumored balance patch is indeed not a rumor. Here are the changes scheduled for May.

    - Indicates a nerf
    = Indicates a neutral change.
? Indicates something I'm unsure of.

    System Changes

    • Pound Combo: At the end of a match, the third hit of the pound combo will no longer grant a burst increase bonus
    • Skill Boost: Limits SP gauge increase and builds meter on use.

Relius Clover has been announced as a playable character in the upcoming BBCS2+ for PSVita.

Relius is Carl Clover's father, and he is credited with creating the Murakumo units, as well as turning his daughter Ada into Nirvana. While very little of his gameplay has been revealed, he appears to have a doll gauge similar to Carl's gauge for Nirvana, so it's possible that he controls a doll like Carl but has a different fighting style. Rumors on the street are that loketests for this PSVita version will begin in Akiba next month.

There has been no confirmation of Relius or other possible characters becoming DLC for PS3/360 thus far.

So, you may have noticed the site being down/up/down/up/down/up over the past few days. shtkn and I were putting in some serious work moving the entire database to a new host and we finally got it working after one or two (or 100) problems... so hopefully everyone is having trouble-free posting AND noticing a considerable speed upgrade as well! One of the main benefits (besides speed) is that there will be less (or no) pruning of old posts... unless they just suck! Our old host had a serious limit on it and we were WAY over. Now... everything is cool =D.

That being said, the new server is considerably more expensive than the old one, so if you feel nice and want to donate to a good cause, swing by the donate link up top and make it rain! Of course, it's not required or anything, but it definitely helps and would be greatly appreciated!

Oh! Another bit of info! We will be adding a Skullgirls section to Dustloop for anyone that is interested in MikeZ's (and Autumn Games & Reverge Labs) new anime-style fighting game. It looks to be like a barn-burner... and I hope everyone gives it a chance (not just to support MikeZ and his team, but also GGPO)!

Lastly, many of us have been known to chat on IRC (EFNET) on #GGXX and #BlazBlue (among other channels). We've decided to create #dustloop on EFNET in an attempt to consolidate the channels and provide one central location to chat about our favorite anime-style games (and anything else). Swing on by and say hi!

Anyway, thanks so much for your patience as we switched servers and I hope you enjoy the newer/faster Dustloop!
