Taking into account the fact that everyone's damage went down, I'd say he probably does more damage on average, especially off wolf starters. Wolf meter management is different, but I like it more. It recharges slower but also depletes slower. You end up using less in combos just because of how combos work now (although you probably want to avoid blowing a bunch in combos anyway imo because of the slower recharge). The new wolf normals are both very useful. j.C gives us a good meterless overhead, and the sweep is great. We lost 5A as a low so the sweep is kinda necessary. It's also really useful outside of mixup.

To be serious, though. While many Valks (including me) use it a lot more than most characters, I try to use it somewhat sparingly and to not get baited. Also if I'm not in the corner I usually opt for instant barrier instead.
