hah.. Sorry, turns out jin's C DP has more range than makoto's 2a. I mean.. Figures.

hmm. that's a good trick to know. but you'll get hit if he D Dps and 2a2b block can beat that. I guess 1a1b3c at the right timing might beat either. though my timing is usually off with regards to 2a > block on D dp and I get hit anyway.

thinking bout it it doesn't seem like i should be at a disadvantage after blocking ID and having comet cannon hit rag out of the air. I guess I've gotten not b een prepared to mash. But one way or another all I got was 100 damage, so it seems like even if you can set a comet cannon, you can't get much out of it. Like this would seem the same in CP too. If jin does his C dp and you block it, then all you got was 100 damage and that's a really cheap way out of the oki. So you have to set it and also not block any DPs to get anything out of it.

I've sometimes done comet cannon on ragna, because of playing against people that delay their tech. I think, if you mash tech, you can react to comet cannon and ID punish easy. but if they are delaying tech, they will not be able to react to comet cannon and punish it. Except..

It seems like even if they are late, if they dp right away, and you either get hit, or even if you block it... they'll take a tick from comet cannon and then have frame advantage. if I'm not mistaken.. I was like, huh...

Hey I was talking to OmniSSythe about making an OS/Gimmick thread for Makoto (kinda like this one http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showt...nd-Gimmicks%29).

Omni told me that you a lot of OS's and character specific stuff, and I was wondering if you would like to share. The main point would be to give every Makoto player, even newbies and subs, a deeper bag of tricks without having to dig through a billion forum posts.
