Because it works off shitty starters, pretty much.. Also I haven't quite gotten it down perfect, but I was realizing against noel that she's more annoying than most chars for comet, it seems, so I might do it on her... eh.
Can you tell me why people say Makoto has a strong neutral game? I pretty much play mostly off of 2a, 5b, 6a, and Ja I guess. One shot tools seem somehow too risky and/or I suck at them to use them much. e.g. 3c is too risky, I rarely use it. Parry is a game changer with heat, but I suck at pulling it off.
That's an interesting thought. I am honestly looking forward to lander blow and cosmic ray some. Cosmic ray seems like it could be fun for dealing with murakumo backdashes.
Yeah, the 214AC link not being 1 frame stuff will be nice. But yknow I did actually specifically mean for corner pickups. Stuff like 5cc>5d > 214ACC > 5b>6a... whatever? Which we don't do in EX because it's not optimal. One hit with lunatic upper, one spin hit, and then the final uppercut. 250/920? damage at a 92P2 I think it was.
I wonde rif 214ACC combos are no longer doable in CP. the new proration on it makes it seem like it would be a pretty good combo part.

What makes you say flowchart'ish pressure, what's different from EX in that regard? Still yet to see if there are special combos I guess.
Like I was testing what my options are against Jin doing 5b/5c> jump cancel> JB/J2C stuff in training mode. It feels like if I see a jump cancel I can 214AA out pretty well. She moves pretty quick during that and she's ducking as she moves.
Considering more use of 214B. I haven't used it at all before I would say. but it seems like 214B~D could be a decent way to get in.
With regards to them getting out of the corner, this is something I didn't have to worry about as much playing as tsubaki. The ender of all her combos leaves her in a spot where if they roll, they stop right in front of you. Corona ender leaves you in a spot where they can roll past you, and you have relatively little frame advantage even if you do a quick ender (JB > corona> delayed lvl 3)
I can't do jack against Toan so really just trying to figure out what at least might work or determine that something simply isn't worth trying I guess.
I'm having fun. It feels to me like her combos are particularly hard so that's something. Mid-screen I've kinda given up on doing infinite rush enders and am just ending with 5d. Kind of always banking on getting to the corner and finishing rounds in the corner. So if someone manages to sneak out of the corner, Things become way hard. Goes from being like 3 solid hits to kill (1 corner carry, + 2 hits in corner), to being like 5 or 6 to kill at least with my current repertoire.
I'm getting the feel for her pressure a little bit better but still need work. Was just trying to figure out if I can't make more use of her specials
