Ugh, you question everything, don't you? Ky is French, he's the KING of Illyria. The fact that he has a move called "Durandal" isn't exactly a coincidence. Sure, sometimes it's spelled "Durendal" but it's Charlemagne's sword, and he was KING of France at one point in history, and a lot of that history had ties to the Holy Roman Catholic Church who also had ties to our real world Crusades (Illyria was Albania in Italy and it was a battleground during the 1100s or so...) There's a Sample pic of Order-Sol with Ky's head poking out from behind a pillar, it was featured when AC+R was introduced about 2 years ago. No, there's no proof of the Gun being named anything at this point. Bullet Heaven is probably a product advertising name (like a brand name for the casing Junkyard Dog was given, while Junkyard Dog itself is the make and model, it has a number someplace on it probably).
Oh yeah, and Ky's a "French King" so he somehow inherited "Durandal" Charlemagne's legendary sword. Hence the giant "Durandal Call" sword blades, he can use.
Ky's sword Magnolia Eclair II (Eclair means Lightning in French) was "patented" on Ky's birthday (November 20th), so it was likely a birthday gift from someone. I don't know if it relates to the Thunderseal, but it has a similar "tassle" appearance on the bottom of the sword, and it's pretty obvious it is much more powerful than the Aquila, given Ky's ability to use it. Aquila was an "ornamental" sword that Ky modified at the last minute. During the events of GG VastEdge, Ky uses a kind of "custom rifle" that can shoot Lightning Bullets from long range when needed (which helps Sol and Sin). I don't know the name of that weapon though, or what the original Magnolia Eclair looked like.
Well, like I said, Order-Sol's most recent "AC+R illustration" seems to have retconned in the steel slab he used is the original "Junkyard Dog". I don't know about the other weapons he used at that time. The Mk.II version could be used like an actual gun then it got upgraded to Mk.3 in 2187. When Sol does his Instant Kill (which you can see in the trailers) the Mk.3 opens up to reveal the Firesealed Sword's core and a bullet revolver device inside. The labels on the Mk.II and Mk.3 mention a group called "Gunsmith Dogs" / "Bullet Heaven", but there isn't much info on them other than the fact Sol has filed a patent with them. It might be that the weapon is something Sol built himself under this company or that he is working with them as a sort of weapons contractor / builder / dealer... Or in fact that "Gunsmith Dogs" is a company Sol runs (which is also possible). I don't know if we'll ever know the full details but that's the info on it so far.
Hey man, if you got GG story questions, just ask away on my blog. Or PM me anytime.
Well, it's a bit selfish. Think of it like this:
The guy makes a game he wants to make.
People like the game he makes.
He makes a few more.
People like the games he makes.
Then, after a bit of a break, he makes another.
Now the people who liked his first few games are demanding that he prioritizes pleasing them with the new game he is making, even if it goes against what he wants to do. The reason being that since they liked his first few games and are fans, their desires are apparently more important than his taste, despite him just making the games he wanted from the get-go.
So, if you can imagine, I find statements like that pretty rude and out there, and don't consider them legitimate arguments.
managing meter use between blitz, fd, rc, and overdrives makes it a much more valuable resource now that frcs are gone which makes mixups alot really expensive. hellfire only buffs overdrive damage from what i know, the powered up stun edges aren't as strong as they were in the previous loketests, split ciel looks like it'll probably be usable in standing combos but the knockdown off it on air hit is probably only good enough for a run up 6hs oki, and 3hs launches on hit. I think blitz is a bit too strong as an answer to literally everything, someone tweeted that you're invuln on a successful blitz where you can catch a projectile oki and they whiff their attack(ex may's dolphin oki into 5d), as it currently stands, the reward is a bit too high for 25 tension, maybe if they add like 70% force proration onto the first hit while they're immobilized then it'll be more reasonable.
From the changes that we know of, i'd say he's probably going to end up being decent. Meter management is going to be a much bigger deal this time around and more emphasis on the fireball and spacing game. The j.S and GS crossup hitbox nerf is terrible though, but i guess the simple confirms into massive dmg kinda makes up for it, really weird for him to be hitting for 50%+ with really basic combos. machabo said it was fun, ain thinks the damage needs to be scaled down a bit, and samitto thinks the game is going to be complete trash with blitz shield guessing games lol
