Anyhow, I wanna know when we'll finally get info on Hazama's arcade story.

Already posted. I think I posted summaries for all the characters, though some are incomplete due to the people not being able to take down Unlimited Hazama. No other stories have been posted on jbbs, but I guess I can indulge you with some other posts...


Someone mentioned that when Hazama does a mirror match, the win quote is, "Oh? When did they make a second one...?"


This is actually potentially big news, if true: Someone said that there's a system voice test in the test mode, and there's one for "μ-12 (Mu-Twelve)". Like for the select screen, I guess. They say they don't know if that means there will be a hidden boss, or if it's just a scrapped bit of dialogue.


Next two posts are pretty big:

Confirmed additions:
- The grimoires can be used by people with no aptitude for magic.
- The Nox Nyctores were created by the witch Nine, of the Six Heroes, using numerous human souls. Nine Nox Nyctores were created in all.
- The mediums are humanoid Nox Nyctores created to utilize seithr, also known as Murakumo Units. The three that have appeared so far, Lambda, Noel, and Nu, are clones of Saya.
- The Black Beast is a failed Murakumo Unit comprised of the false Azure Grimoire (Ragna) and the 13th medium (Nu).
- Arakune is an incomplete Black Beast.
- The false and true Azure Grimoires were created by Terumi so that he'd have the power needed to complete a Murakumo Unit.
- The 12th medium (Noel) is the completed Murakumo, Kusanagi.
- The Master Unit Amaterasu has no control over Kusanagi, it's a "blade that cuts god". Terumi wants to use Kusanagi to kill Amaterasu.
- Terumi was the previous owner of the Susano'o Unit. He left it in order to escape the control Amaterasu had over the Sankishin Units.
- Terumi betrayed the Six Heroes and murdered Nine.
- According to Hakumen and Terumi, Rachel and Kokonoe are two characters that could be a match for Terumi.

New questions and unconfirmed additions:
- What is the Master Unit Amaterasu? It seems to be the master of the two other Sankishin Units, based on dialogue from Terumi and Rachel.
- How many Nox Nyctores are there? It was previously stated that there are 10, but it's now stated that there were 9. The Murakumo Units are probably considered new additions.
- Kokonoe may be one of the strongest characters, but why doesn't she fight? Hakumen notes that she should have inherited both the combat ability of Jubei and the magic of Nine, but she's only willing to deal with science.
- What is Arakune? Is he an incomplete version of the Black Beast, or did he become an incomplete Black Beast by trying to absorb the power of the Boundary without the power of the Azure or a proper medium? Does he want the Azure Grimoire for the same reason Nu wanted Ragna, to become complete?
- Immunity. A new keyword, it seems to be something inate to Jin. Does it have to do with the Nox Nyctores?
- Bang Chronicles: He seems to have a Nox Nyctores, but he definitely doesn't use it. He isn't horrified by Arakune, but Arakune seems scared of him; both are probably because of his personality. Lord Tenjo's son is still missing.
- Lambda. Nu is still part of her conscience, and reacts to Ragna. Did Kokonoe give her the power of a causality weapon, or the power to counteract them?

Litchi, Tao, Carl, and Tsubaki weren't all that important, even though Tsubaki is a new character. What'll happen next?


The general consensus now seems to be that the Azure Grimoires are meant to unite with the Murakumo Units to become complete, Hazama hints at this with some dialogue about how the 13th medium was incomplete and wouldn't shut up about the Azure (Ragna).

Someone tried to spell it out like this:

Properties of both Azure Grimoires: Can combine with a Murakumo Unit to become complete.

Properties unique to the True Azure: Is meant to be inherited by one with special eyes, which can find Amaterasu. Can unite without a cauldron and smelt Kusanagi.

Properties of the false Azure Grimoire: Regenerative abilities. Absorbs life force. Its original form was a cauldron, and when smelting Kusanagi, it would use the absorbed vitality. The cauldron went crazy and became the Black Beast, indescriminately absorbing surrounding life force.

Did the false Azure Grimoire fail because it hadn't absorbed enough human souls like the Nox Nyctores, and went on a rampage to get more?


Assorted theories:

- The Nox Nyctores all have a purpose, and Yukianesa's was to control Jin. Terumi was behind that.

- Terumi's aim is to destroy Amaterasu. He couldn't act against the Master Unit so long as he was installed in the Susano'o Unit, so he left it willingly.

- There was some confusion about whether Terumi was Dark Susano'o during the Dark War, which lead to a few invalid theories, like Jin not getting the Susano'o Unit until after the Dark War. Totally invalid, since the point at which Jin got the Susano'o Unit is clearly marked as being before the Black Beast appeared. Someone also wondering if Susano'o Unit looked different when it was Dark Susano'o, thinking that it surely must've been black.

- Terumi's actions [I'm very fond of this one]

1. Wants to create Kusanagi to fight Amaterasu for an unknown reason.
2. Willingly parts with the Susano'o Unit to try and create the Azure Grimoire.
3. The experiment fails and the Black Beast is born.
4. Cooperates with Six Heroes, fighting for ten years until the Black Beast is defeated.
5. Afterwards, is sealed away by Hakumen for an unknown reason. Perhaps his true motives were revealed?
6. The time loop will keep repeating as long as the Black Beast is born, so, befitting the Ouroboros of his emblem, he perpetuates the cycle of its death and rebirth while waiting for his chance. He probably made his appearance as Hazama in all of the loops.
7. With Noel becoming the true Azure, he makes his long-awaited comeback.
8. Seizes the true Azure and completes Kusanagi. Here and now.

- The BlazBlue world is The Matrix. The real world is in ruins, Terumi is The One, and Amaterasu is the machines pulling the wool over everyone's eyes. (Someone replies: "This world isn't reality. In the real world, we could get hit by a bus and die at any moment, y'know?", seems to be a hikkikomori thing.)

- Someone saying something about "Next time, they'll end up fighting enemies with Norse God codenames. Hey, Amaterasu Unit, you suck, signed Valhalla. I want to see that."

- Thousands of souls were used to create the Nox Nyctores. Maybe Nirvana's powered by their malice, not her owners?
