Also GGs to everyone I've played recently. I know I'm in the minority but I've had no huge problems with lag or the netcode. Even coast to coast connections have been fairly solid. Feel free to throw me some invites no matter where, iin the US at least, you are.
Really? In that case I might take you up on that offer sometime!

And playing this game just makes me disgusted at this point.

I absolutely hate that everything I've worked on for all this time - wasting months of my life trying to build up a real damn game around this character and this game and it doesn't amount to much other than "he's ass". I tried really hard to analyze matches I've had that I didn't and did have recordings of, went to and got laughed at at events, sucked it up, and the end result is "I knew what to do and I fucked it up anyways" or "and then I did something stupid and got hit anyways."

It's not fucking working. I don't know what to tell you other than that. I read up, I watched up, I practiced every day at 8AM at school instead of working for a solid year, and I am still leagues worse than someone who's only been playing 3 weeks. It's a fucking embarrassment!

All that work, all that time, and everything it cost me - means nothing but a cheap laugh to most players around here when my name gets mentioned.

I'm a fucking moron, though. I'll just keep practicing whatever shit as always hoping I can master it. Same as fucking blazblue. Never getting better at any real person's pace, still a competitive joke years later.

    God fucking damn....
i can tell you if you have any potential, play me, im on psn, i will be honest.

If real life has made sure to teach me anything it's that if you aren't at a competitive level you deserve to be in poverty and you should jut get out of everyone else's way. The world is a competitive place and you have no place in it if you can't compete. Neither school nor real life will tolerate losers.

You need constant Focus, Strength, Talent, Skill, and Determination.

What *I* think about that doesn't really mean much - it's the truth of the world we live in. So I'm just gonna keep pushing to get better otherwise the world is just going to feed me to the wolves and laugh.

This is videogames, though. Videogames aren't as harsh as real life.

Sure - I think I need to step away from the game for a bit, though. Add me on PSN or whatever and we'll see what's what.

If your main is Baiken, gl not getting easy damage and having bad matchups. Then again, if your at the top of your game, good luck never getting hit and annoying the fuck out of the other player until they mess up, get CH and get dust looped by you.
I still can't tell if you're saying this character is retarded easy/cheap or not.

I try to do a lot of the things you suggest but I haven't had any payoff, or I just plain fuck it up. I'm still a very incapable player in most fundamental respects. I practice a lot but still don't have anything to spec.

Again, I'll just keep training modo. Maybe someday I'll be able to play the game.

    Relax
I am quite bad at relaxing. You don't get to relax when you have to push for something, IMO.

Okay - no more of this in this thread - everything can go to PMs. - I cleaned a little out.

Hey, Star. Y'know what I think you should do?

Face against me. I get my arse kicked on a regular basis, so I think your level may be around mine or possibly higher. I'm not one to care about winning or losing anymore, since I've found my area of thrill for FGs, but at the very least if you somehow manage to win, it could possibly give you a confidence boost.

Ya have my PSN (it's on the previous page, and I even go to lengths to make sure my post profile has it), so just give me a PM and we can schedule a few rounds. That is, if you truly want to ditch this personality of a hopeless dog (it took me a while, but hey, I found it).

typically when i run into bad players, they tend to fall into two categories; this is provided that they have trained and have appropriate match up experience time put in. the first are players who over-complicate their strategy, all strategy should be simple, should revolve around a simplistic goal and where possible reduced to simple steps and means so that you may complete them in an actual game. when you play an actual match, most of what is going on in your mind isnt conscious, you dont dialogue it out with yourself (or if you do, you shouldnt rather). your subconscious isnt going to deal with an abstract goal, your goals should be simple, your methods may be abstract, what you want to achieve in any moment or overall shouldnt be, it should be specific and SIMPLE. The 2nd sort of player may have an understanding of the game and have processed their goals into simple digestible bits, but when they get into an actual game their subconscious falls into this reflex mechanism of abstraction, like they dont know who they are, what game they are playing, and just become momentary and reactionary without any concept of a goal. The problem with the first player may be resolved with proper introspection, the problem with the 2nd player may be or may not be, depending on how much of their function is lost and how strong their response is.

Hmm, a break seems to be in order again I guess. :p

I think you should just...take some pressure off of your mind really. There's nothing hanging in the balance when you play, you play to improve and that happens win or lose. You can't take every fight to be the deciding factor of weather or not you've improved. It's gonna be a gradual process. Just look for doing better and nailing setups and stuff, that counts too.

Just to make sure I got this right, you're saying before the match you actually have a plan/strategy. But when the match begins, you forget what the plan was and then just start pressing buttons which can cause you to get hit by random shit and drop many hit confirms.

If that's so, then I'm pretty much under that category. What do you do to stop that?
