Anchor
Carmine, surprisingly, is a good anchor if he's got the meter to burn to make his strings safe. Carmine's has some usefulness when it comes to using his assists, especially in neutral with assists such as 6P. His solo damage in general is great, especially with resonance. Carmine can also do a block string in resonance by repeating 5B to 236C you can deal chip damage that makes resonance toga blush.

Fighting Carmine
Carmine's solo pressure will usually resets with 236A or 236C. If Carmine ends a pressure with 236A or 236B without max spacing, most characters can mash out of the pressure, even with a puddle. Some characters can even mash out of a maxed spaced 236A or 236B pressure with a 26 frame 5C (the 5C that travels far).
