General Tactics

Team positioning

Point

T.Gohan has very short normal, and relies on assist to win neutral game/take pressure. But once he does, he has corner carry combos and efficient pressure. Also, he's one of the best characters for building meters and does more damage than average. Point is a very good role for him.

Mid

He can be played Mid but suits better as a Point. Play him Mid only if you have a better Point to play instead.

Anchor

T.Gohan has high damage, a lvl 5 Super and can build a lot of meter, especially with sparking. His sparking lvl 5 Super does 73% damage alone. He can be played as Anchor for this, but it's not optimal though considering he won't have anything to cover his weaknesses.

Picking Teammates

  • Tien's assist can be really useful for Teen Gohan, providing him with a means to approach, as well as launching his opponent, allowing him to get insane corner carry and combo damage.

Blockstrings

  • 2L > 2LL > 2M > 5M > 2H > j.236M/H
  • (2L) > 5L > 5LL > j.236M/H

Tips and Tricks


Fighting Teen Gohan

Be careful when you challenge him before j.236M. If you get tagged because you tried to mash 2H, your health bar will get ripped wide open. Challenge after instead, preferably with Reflect.
