Overview

In the future, a pair of androids created by Dr. Gero ravaged the Earth. Trunks, the son of Vegeta and Bulma, went back in time in the hopes of changing history so that the devastation he grew up with would be averted. He would go on to help Goku and his allies fight against Cell before returning to his own time to save the Earth.

In Dragon Ball FighterZ, Trunks is a quick and offense-orientated character who thrives on pressure and gaining momentum. With various aggressive tools and the help of his allies, he can force opponents to stay defensive and eat his sword until their guard finally cracks.

Strengths/Weaknesses

Strengths Weaknesses
  • Large, far reaching normals such as 5LL and 2M
  • Strong solo corner combos and high damage on his level 3
  • Assist ignores small projectiles and has a very large hitbox
  • Good mobility and options for strings with 214X
  • Strong ki blast with an excellent angle in the air
  • Struggles to get a sliding knockdown from some starters, making it difficult to maintain offensive momentum
  • His only low is 2M, making high-low mixups difficult
  • Level 3 can be difficult to combo into
  • Masenko is ground-only, leaving him with no horizontal air projectile
  • Reliant on ki blast for neutral, which is vulnerable to super dash and stronger projectiles
