Introduction

Anji's only overhead options come from an easily reactable hop that needs to be charged first and a Tiger Knee'd orb that does little damage and doesn't lead to further oki. What makes Anji's wakeup game truly dangerous is his butterfly attack, Shitsu (236P). It is easy for him to make this projectile meaty on wakeup, and once it hits them, it turns into a hawk that hits overhead. This allows Anji to run in and go for his myriad of mixup options, from overheads, double lows, high > low, Fuujin mixups, and even unblockables. There is a large gap between the first and the following hits, requiring you to carefully plan your pressure in order to stop your opponent from escaping.

Example Routes

Most of Anji's routes (ground throw, gatling into 2D, 2D xx S Fuujin, On...) lead to a meaty butterfly.
