Installing Previous GGST Versions
Using Steam Developer Tools

Any previous version of GGST can be downloaded and installed using Steam developer tools. These versions can be played in any offline mode, but will cause a server error when connecting to network mode. This is a useful tool for anyone wishing to experiment with older versions of GGST.

Ambox warning.png Connecting to Network Mode using outdated versions of GGST will corrupt the player's local and server-side save data!
The local save file can be located in the %APPDATA% folder and should be backed up BEFORE launching the game!

Basic RC pressure

  • 88RRC > IAD j.H is a 1 frame gap that safejumps and leaves you very plus
  • 88RRC > IAD j.H(1) > j.D > 2K is tricky since you cancel the first it of j.H but j.D doesn't have enough time to come out, allowing you to get a single overhead before doing a low
  • 88RRC > IAD j.H(1) > j.D > microdash > forces the opponent into committing to a fuzzy jump if the want to cover the above options
  • 88RRC > IAD > FD > grab/2K forgoes the overhead entirely for another layer
  • 88RRC > 2K > dropping down and doing a low without even doing an airdash catches a lot of people
