GG2/Sol Badguy/Resources

From Dustloop Wiki

Preface

This page is Sol Badguy's Resources page. This page is to be used to indiscriminately store just about any pieces of gameplay information that anyone may have that exists about this character, to make for a catalog of preserved content that can (and probably should) be fully realized and transcribed onto main character pages after review.

For simplicity's sake; anything you would want pinned in your character channel or character Discord can go here, such as:

  • Character Discord pins
  • Links or transcriptions of external personal documents and / or Dustloop User Docs
  • Tech videos, especially from Twitter hashtags
  • One-off or niche combo routes
  • Set-ups (for pressure, mix-ups, okizeme, or setplay)
  • Video analyses of matches and sets
If more opinionated works are posted, such as match-up charts, it is highly recommended that you include accreditation to the creator and any other important specifics (such as ordering or et cetera), so that readers can evaluate the sourcing. To readers, also note that this means you should consume at your own discretion. Not all strategy or reasoning may be fully explained, tested, or viable, so either be sure to ask the creators any questions (if possible), or do your own research in training mode.

Sin vs Sol Match up analysis

Ky's Tribe is the same as Sin so some overlap there as well. Video goes into build orders and how to change them as the game progresses. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0-zrVrv4XM&list=PLi09_yr_5sAaK_ryhUCWPjY_pk4QZYMj_&index=5

Nicky C's Tips from Discord pins

1. Make sure when you're dropping your units off at the start, you want to aim for ghosts that have capture units going to it or coming out of it so that you can run into those capture units and drop your servants without stopping. This speeds up your early game like crazy and will help you keep up with your opponent. After dropping your servants off at separate ghosts near their masterghost, head back and kill the servants they dropped off and grab some more of your own. This is the typical opening for pretty much everyone on every map. You can watch our replays from my perspective and you'll see me do this every time.

2. Remember remember to buy Dragon Install and look to use it while your resource is between 50 and 100. The 100 is good, don't get me wrong, but you can use the 50 more often and the 50 is arguably better sometimes because it gives all your moves a damage buff which 100 doesn't do. I feel like I can't overstate how important DI is.

3. Always unlock Queen first as your first elite, she is incredibly good, almost like having another master on the field sometimes. She's so important that sometimes if your opponent is spamming armors, you'll want to get her out before your blades. This is never the case vs Valentine/Raven due to them not having a lower armor servant, but you'll see this a lot against Ky/Sin/Izuna. She's *so* good. After her, I always unlock Fire Wheel, he's an incredibly good unit, probably the best elite melee, in my opinion. After that I personally go for Engulfer. He gives you a Mobile unit, but he's also really handy to have to carry around because he can quickly seal the enemy master when you're in master fights and *boom* the enemy master can't dispel your Crimson Jacket anymore, nor use any items or skills of their own. Gigant is okay since he can kinda hold a lane and is hard to kill, but the purchase between the two of them is up to you.

4. To clear servants, you'll want to make sure you're doing 4x, x, SS, repeat
