Pros
Cons
  • Spicy Zoner: Between large buttons, randomized projectiles, and a suite of anti-airs that cover multiple angles, anyone looking to approach Faust is in for an... interesting time.
  • Low profile: Faust's hurtbox is extremely low to the ground while crouching, allowing him to simply duck out of the way of many pokes and jump-ins.
  • Strong mixup tools: Between jump-cancellable lows, an instant overhead, a standing overhead with invincibility frames, and a proximity unblockable, Faust has plenty of ways to mix the opponent up and exert pressure.
  • Air Brakes: Faust can halt his aerial momentum by Faultless Defense Cancelling his j.2K, further augmenting his zoning, mixups, and general movement.
  • Combo food: Faust has an incredibly large hurtbox while in hitstun or knocked down, enabling many character-specific combos and setups.
  • Low damage: Faust's combos are short and relatively simple, and as a result his damage output is fairly low, even with meter.
