Faust

From Dustloop Wiki
General Info

A scalpel-wielding fighter, Faust (formerly known as Dr. Baldhead) is Guilty Gear's scalpel-wielding fighter. In Missing Link, Dr. Baldhead is a blitzing fast character who can use long range attacks for pokes and can uniquely enforce mixups that most of the ML cast are noticeably lacking. Starting with Guilty Gear X, Faust fights at long range, utilizing his signature move Item Toss, to throw (pseudo-random) items into battle, which can drastically change the round. With a long and slender body, Faust both has a tall hurtbox, yet can crawl to dodge most moves.

In the story, Faust was originally known as Dr. Baldhead, who was was a very famous miracle doctor, until one fateful day where he failed an operation that cost a young girl her life. He went insane and began murdering people using the very techniques he had once used to save them. After the first game, he sees a vision of the girl who he failed to cure. She reveals that Baldhead did not kill her, but someone else targeted her for assassination. Some time afterwards, a strange man with a bag over his head makes his claim to fame as a healer. This strange back-alley doctor, known as Faust, is said to have powerful occult magic. In reality, he is a reformed Dr. Baldhead, hiding his true identity. He atones for the murders he committed by returning to his occupation as a healer.

As of Guilty Gear -Strive-'s Another Story, Faust uses up all of his magic to save  Bedman, and leaves him back at "Square One"; where his Faust persona is dead and slowly have traits of Dr. Baldhead.
