Character Specifics

The 3C(1) in air hit 6B > 5C > 3C(1) must be delayed on the following characters in order to prevent combos from dropping both when midscreen and in the corner: Hazama, Mu, Tager, Terumi, Tsubaki, and Valkenhayn.

Hakumen and Makoto require that 3C(1) is delayed when they're in the corner, though it is not required when they're midscreen.

Routes involving 5D > 5B > 5C > 236[A]~D will not work on Taokaka, Carl, Relius, Izayoi, Amane, Es, Bullet, and Platinum, due to their hurtbox being just far enough forward to where the activate whiffs. On long starters, this can be remedied by going straight into 5B > 236[A]~D, but be sure to confirm it quickly

Most routes involving 6B > 5C > 3C(1) > 22A will not work on Carl, Tsubaki, Hazama, Mu, Makoto, Valkenhein, Kokonoe, Terumi, Celica, Hibiki, Susan, and Mai, as they dont get popped far enough back for the lightning to hit.

Combo Theory

j.2C usually requires something covering it (such as a Graviton or a trap) or Kokonoe must spend meter in order to convert it into a full combo. However, in the instances shown below, Kokonoe can combo off j.2C without help since she'll be able to link j.2C into 5A:

  • When Kokonoe lands j.2C as an air to air with the opponent slightly higher than her
  • When Kokonoe lands a Fatal Counter Instant Overhead j.2C

When performing any route involving 236D > 22B > 2C / 236[A], be sure to hold D from 236D and release as late as you can (which usually is only for a split second or so, but it'll depend on the hitstun of the move used beforehand. Try to aim for as late into that as possible.) (This will often be notated as "236[d]~]d[, though this applies regardless of how its noted). This is required in many instances of the route, to have enough time to link 22B > 2C / 236A, or even for instances it's not required will still make the link far more lenient.

You're also going to want to learn combos that involve using no Gravitons at all in case you're put into a situation where you don't have any remaining or you don't have enough for a specific combo. Additionally, these 'Gravitonless' combos are better when they are longer since they will give you more time to regenerate any missing Gravitons.

Golden Tager Combos

Golden Tager combos require you to know how much health you have left since the less health you have, the more damage you'll be able to get off of it. Remember, the more you spin the stick while holding down the C button, the more damage will be tacked on when Golden Tager fires. Note that 6A>236[D]~64641236[C]~]D[~]C[ combo routes require you to have 40% HP or less, otherwise you'll end up getting regular Dreadnought Destroyer instead.
