Note: this can be difficult to pull off if there are alot of enemy Servants around. In this case you kinda just have release the L-Trigger then turn to try and face the direction your intended target is before then using regular Lock-On. 4XX Combos

j.8X loops
Easy

4XXX > j.c (automatic) > j.8X > Side Step > 4XXX (only 3rd hit lands) > j.8X > j.c > j.8X > j.c > j.8X or various items
This may look intimidating at first but you can pretty much just mash every part out while the previous part is happening.

One small change to this route is to use the Skill 'Zest' or items like 'Heavy Feet', or 'Zipper' instead of the last j.8X. The benefit Valentine gains from applying either of these debuffs is very impactful even opening up time to reposition for a unblockable.

Other j.8X loops
Medium

4XXX > j.c (automatic) > j.8X > j.c> j.c > Delay > j.8X > j.c > j.8X > j.c > j.8X or various 'items'
This may look Simpler than the previous combo but there are a number of points you have to alter your timing to get the j.8Xs to all land. This combo does about 26 more damage than the above combo which may not seem like much but it can be significant.

Like before you can use the Skill 'Zest' or items like 'Heavy Feet', or 'Zipper' instead of the last j.8X. The benefit Valentine gains from applying either of these debuffs is very impactful even opening up time to reposition for a unblockable.

F8X Combos

F8X to J8X loops283 damage - 20% Tension use to 12% Tension recovery
Hard

F8X > j.c > Air-dash > j.5X > j.8X (Modern Cancel 2nd Hit) > j.8X > j.c > j.8X > j.c > j.8X (Modern Cancel 2nd Hit) > j.8X
Damage optimized combo off of the unblockable F8X. If you use the 'S-Drive' then this combo does around 500 damage which is enough to ToD someone so long as they don't have a defense buff or Revival item.

This combo can be quite difficult due to the timing of your first j.c being dependant on spacing. The farther you are the quicker you have to be up to the point where up close you will need to delay your jump.

Servant ClearWhen a Master takes time to clear groups of enemy Servants, often by abusing strong single-hitting attacks with wide reach along with Step or Modern Cancels.

Tech

S-Drive for combos
Very Easy

S-Drive > 6X(XXX) > 8Y
Using S-Drive can increase Valentine's Damage output by absurd amounts. Watch the above video to see Sol Badguy takes near ToD damage from 2 hits because he was set to tech asap and get caught by the second hit.

Sideways 2Y Lock Switching
Medium

S-Drive > 6X(XXX) > 8Y
This technique allows you to stagger when your projectile hits by facing sideways and Lock-Switching Hold both L and R triggers to maintain your current type of lock on then release the trigger associated with the lock-on you are currently using to rapidly switch lock on types. during the startup.

Note: this can be difficult to pull off if there are alot of enemy Servants around. In this case you kinda just have release the L-Trigger then turn to try and face the direction your intended target is before then using regular Lock-On. Either that or react and push up on the Right Analog Stick to focus on what hopefully is the enemy Master. Trying to Do either of these can be unwieldy though.
