GG2/Valentine/Matchups

Intro

Two things will determine primarially how Valentine's Matchups go:

  1. Can Valentine keep advantage over the opponent in neutral (usually around her Servants) and make a getaway in dire situations despite her bad Blast Drive?
  2. How well can the opponent's Tribe deal with Valentine's early game Strength while exploiting her Tribe's limited Servant Types?

So for example most Basic Melee Servants stand no chance against Valentine's Candy and Gateu Skin but especially weak ones like Sol's Drills or Kappas don't stand a chance forcing both Matchups to usually try to tech into Basic Armored Servants if you establish an early advantage. Meanwhile Dr Paradigm can easily spam squads of Geroppas while spliting ups squads of Bowers to accompany them and handle Valentine's Gateu Skin.

On the flip-side though Dr Paradigm's usual approach of hiding behind his Servants doesn't hold up against Valentine's various projectiles. Izuna and Sol are both very good at chasing down Valentine to kill her when she's not surrounded by servants. In all three match-ups neither player can afford to leave large groups of servants around as all four characters have ways of clearing large groups of units very fast.

So the point of all of this is that even before this page is finished you can potentially learn half of your Match-Up Knowledge from the Tribes page. Alot of how you play is going to depend on Maps as well as the geography determines where you want to potentially spread your units and what Servants, Skills, and Items you can afford (due to more ghosts on larger maps).
