 Zappa  Zappa is five characters in disguise as one who overwhelms the opponent with bizarre hitboxes, hurtboxes, and moves with unique properties.

  • Extremely strong pressure: When the opponent is between Zappa and the dog or in the corner Dog allows Zappa to perform some of the most oppressive pressure in the game.
  • Unblockables: With the use of 4DD combined with a low from Zappa even the most defensive opponents can be opened up.
  • Infinites: If the opponent is between Zappa and the dog when hit Zappa can choose to combo infinitely until he decides to go for a reset or the opponent bursts.
  • Great Defense: Not only can the dog absorb one hit for Zappa, it can also attack while he is blocking. This allows Zappa to start offense even when he is being pressured, making Dog an incredibly strong defensive tool.
  • Dependent on positioning: Dog takes a significant amount of time to cross the stage and must be present for Zappa to extend his combos, meaning Zappa must remain close to the dog lest he be caught in a bad position.
  • Limited ability to get knockdowns: Because he loses access to his regular 2D Zappa is unable to knock down the opponent unless the dog is there to help him combo into it.
  • Dies in one hit: Because the Dog dies in one hit it must be carefully managed to avoid the opponent's moves while Zappa starts pressure. Multihit moves in particular are dangerous as they can eat through the dog and hit Zappa as well.
