The game that started it all! Originally released in 1998, Guilty Gear is the brainchild of famed game developer Daisuke Ishiwatari, and quickly became a cult favorite among fighting game players. It introduced the world to an eclectic cast of characters as well as a number of unique game mechanics like the infamous Instant Kill attack that could finish off an opponent at any time. Many of these game mechanics are still used in Guilty Gear’s modern incarnations and is a testament to how revolutionary its design was over 20 years ago.
The PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch releases of Guilty Gear: The Missing Link do not include online netplay. As such, there are 2 main ways to play online with other people.
- Play on PC via Parsec
- Emulate the PSX version via NullDC-BEAR
Dustloop is unable to provide files for emulation, and recommends that each player purchase their own legal copy of the game.
