Guilty Gear XX Slash is an update to Guilty Gear XX ♯Reload that adds A.B.A and Order-Sol from Guilty Gear Isuka as playable characters.

This update is notable for being very different from other entries in the XX series. The input interpreter was changed for this game only, and dashing 236 motions were made easier to do. Ky is widely considered top tier among other reasons due to the ridiculous +3 point blank S Stun Edge. This is by far Order-Sol's weakest appearance in the series, partially due to the minigame he has to play in order to use Charge (214D)- one must tap the D button in time with the flames coming out from under Order-Sol, along with the fact that it cannot be cancelled into, partially because all of his unique meter is spent immediately with no wind-down usages upon the use of one of his powered-up moves. Millia and Eddie were also nerfed heavily compared to versions before and after it. This is the final XX entry before Force Breaks and Slashback were introduced. Sol also gains Sidewinder in this game, opening up all-new combo routes. This creates a completely different-feeling game compared to any other entry in the XX series.
