Hazama Starter Guide
Key Moves
2A is your main tool for Abare An attack during the opponent's pressure, intended to interrupt it. and creating simple stagger pressure The use of intentionally delaying gatlings or cancels in order to create frame traps with the intent of catching your opponent mashing or jumping. Loses to reversals..
2A > 5B > 5C > 3C > 214B~C — This combo will grant you knockdown anywhere and a safejump A very well-timed jump attack on a character who is rising from a knockdown. Your goal is to attack extremely close to when you land so that, if the character performs an invincible reversal attack, you will land and be able to block. The opponent is then forced to block your jumping attack, since reversaling doesn't work, which will give you some nice pressure and hopefully an opening., allowing you to set up the situation again and repeat. If you find 3C into 214B dropping, try cancelling on the first hit of 5C or omitting 3C entirely.
2A > 5B > 5C > 3C > 236A — Very similar to the first combo, however this one will grant you space and screen control, setting up Hazama for an approach.
2C > jc > j.C7 > 214B — is a simple air conversion that will grant you knockdown right at your feet.
Once you get the hang of microdashing and linking chains, stronger BnB's will become available to you:
