This matchup is in Makoto's favor. She has superior pressure, faster normals, and ID. IMO her only weakness in this matchup is her less than stellar damage and mediocre range.

You can try zoning her but I find myself often getting jumped over when I do so I tend to go for a bait and switch tactic in this matchup. Keep her at arms length and use 6D, 2D, 4D, and the j.D's as much as possible while still maintaining a safe distance from her.

If you find yourself without Ignis the best thing you can do is run away and hope she slips up. 5C hits the second roll in her 3C so if you see her using it to mix you up just throw it out and it should put you in positive.

Her 623C can easily turn the tide of this battle so watch for it on wakeup.
