Can we have a vote whether or not to have the $5 entry fee for P4? Since we already have TRB for a more serious tournament, I'd rather keep this casual-esque at least in terms of payout. I'm not extremely opposed to it but if we could change it would be nice (plus I have no confidence in winning and don't want to pay :V)

I'm not really sure how to feel about the entry fee either-- Obviously it gives more incentive for people interested to level up and get that money, but you'll also be losing out on a lot of players in the tournament (variety, matchup experience). People enter it when it's free if they're on the fence about it or even just for the hell of it but I don't really like P4A as much as other anime games so I would likely not enter, especially considering the travel costs just for me to come hang out. I'm sure there are others that feel similarly...

You don't have to do things exactly as I say obviously, but it's something to think about. Maybe we should get some more opinions in here about this.

Another option would be to do a paid tournament every other time or something? Stuff to think about.

These have always been fairly casual, it's really up to the people if they want to pay entry and have a prize tournament or not. Oh well, I'm too busy to go to these right now anyways. See you guys at EVO and when CP comes out.

Somehow, I missed this thread being created. :v:

I'm not particularly opposed to a $5 fee for Persona, but I do think we should leave it up to the attendees. I was thinking perhaps we could run it ranbats style and have a cool prize at the end, like a stick or something. We'd either have to take donations or collect a small entrance fee for that though.

The reason I've added a 5 dollar entry fee to the saturday tournaments is actually split into a few reasons.

-Nobody is taking the event seriously anymore with almost half of the entrants using alts

-I would like everyone to be able to take the tournament as a way to get experience for evo

-Most of our saturday attendees never come to the thursday ones which means they never get a chance to play in a standard tournament

If everyone is truly opposed I can always reverse the decision.

...3 Dollar entry fee? :>

Also. Plan on running an Aquapazza tourney definitely. I could also run the Melty tourney as well. it is just when that I am thinking about. Melty @ 3p? AP @ 5p? What do ya guys think?

The entry fee can be adjusted as y'all see fit. I guess we can treat this first Xieless Rebel Up as a trial and adjust it from there.

Also, I am definitely down for Aquapazza and Melty, not sure on P4A yet.

I've been waiting for an AP tourney for too long :V I'll bring my friend's copy just because and I think Soujiro might bring his as well. BTW Numakie do we need a SDTV for Melty or is it just preferred? Last time Scrub came he brought his laptop and we just set it up on an open Asus.

Delta: I have been setting up on another monitor screen to give it the feel of a console game. I'd perfer it that way personally.

I like having a lot of games to push buttons on. Plus there's the actual arcade games at Super Arcade. That's a big draw for me.

hmm... If you happen to get the game there today and It's not the recent patched, I can still use it.

If you do get the unpatched one, I'll have to ban the "throw glitch combos" (combos that break the 3 bounce rule)... mainly cuz they have been patched and I have the latest version.

And this is banned regardless if it has been patched or not.

It's usually ps3, and we usually have casuals until around 6 pm.
